Really I don't think the meat would have done anything. Everyone is infected and I think the main issue with the bites is the infection/fever caused by the wound killing people a few days down the road. That is why amputation works. If the zombies were carrying some more powerful strain of the virus then you would have to immediately amputate the affected area before the disease spread into the blood which would be a matter of seconds.
However since the girl in the last episode had to be transported to the hospital and they wasted a few minutes before hacking her arm off it appears that it is the wound itself that kills you. If the bite injected some more powerful virus into your body amputating would have been pointless and the experienced doctor wouldn't have wasted his time since it would have had plenty of time to spread through her system.
Plus they cooked the meat so that should have killed any bacteria within the tissue unless the disease was heat resistant which is pretty uncommon.
Then again eating tainted meat isn't something that I would recommend . Did make for an epic scene though.

As for the tainted meat part, only Rick and his crew know about everyone being infected. So those from Terminus didn't know and thought the bite have the disease.

Yeah she definitely took her own life. I was just saying the doctors obviously knew that virus was already inside everyone or else they wouldn't have wasted time or meds amputating her arm since it had obviously been probably an hour or longer since she had been bitten.

They may not know the virus is already inside, only that the spread can be stopped by amputation- its a gruesome idea, but as you go back in history, amputating to stop disease spread was widely used until the disease was better understood.
I'm actually surprised they revealed it this episode, I figured we would have gotten at least one more story from either Beth, or Rick's group before this. Oh well, gets all that wondering out of the way for those who didn't already know.
Shooting the zombies with the hose was smart thinking though.
