The Walking Dead tv series
Does anyone on the massive racketboy network have any new info on the future "Walking Dead" tv series on AMC?

The Walking Dead is actually the only comic that I still buy every month, and if the show is anywhere near as good as the book, then we will all be in for something awesome. Last I heard though, they are only working on a pilot, and AMC hasn't actually ordered any episodes yet. Let's hope that changes soon!

Same here, it is the only book I read monthly. There was a little info about the series is the letter column of the last issue.
Re: The Walking Dead tv series
I quit buying comics cold turkey after, well, my whole life, 18 months ago. The Walking Dead was the only title I had the urge to keep reading, and the only comic I ever bothered to download (Don't worry Mr. Kirkman, you'll get my money when I eventually buy the trades.) just to keep up on what's happening.
I think TWD will translate really well to the small screen. The story arcs seem well suited to being told over a TV season. It will be interesting to see what characters and subplots make the cut. As a reader who knows all of the major twists, I wonder how close the scripts will stick to the comic. I would not mind a few surprises for longtime TWD readers, but I don't want them to stray too far from the established status quo.

I haven't heard about this since last year.
I've got some friends in LA that might know what's up.
I'll check it out and report back later.
