Yeah, same here. With II and DX now working in mame, that is where I'll spend my time. DX would be much more interesting anyways, since it actually has variety in what you can do in each stage, whereas Raiden 1 discussion will likely be "I still died on stage 3"

I'm a bit confused by Raiden releases. I know there is The Raiden Project on PS1 but is that the same Raiden that is in the GOG Raiden Legacy package? And is the 360 Raiden Fighters Legacy a spin-off series or is it compilation?

The Raiden Fighters series is a different branch which is called Gundogs in Japan.

It's still awesome, though. Has some more in depth scoring mechanics than the traditional Raiden games.

Raiden Legacy is a compilation including Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2, and Raiden Fighters Jet.

Raiden Trad is a spin off of Raiden for SNES, Genesis/Mega Drive, and FM Towns.
