So that makes 3/4 modern Doctor Scottish...wow, I'm guessing the BBC really wanted them to stay

Time Heist could have been a lot of fun had it not been so transparent.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I stopped watching doctor who after the third new doctor came on. There were just too many cheesy episodes. I had heard that they were taking the show back in a darker direction (my favorite season was the first new season from 2005 with Eccleston). So I started watching. I think I can keep up if I skip the filler episodes - like the Robin Hood episode.

I like this new Doctor. I'm not convinced they will still be able to handle all of this yet but so far it looks promising.

You missed the best run of the new series. Seriously, the season 5 finale, season 6 premiere and the christmas special in between them are perhaps the 5 best episodes of Doctor Who I've ever seen. If they are not the best ones, they sure are the best ones that came back to back.

Not in america...hulu has all of it now. Netflix not so much they have a mix of classic and new but hulu has a much better selection from my experience. (heck hulu even has the specials that just aired a few months ago and almost all of the classic stuff that has been retrieved from space so far)

No streaming service has all the episodes that we still have, and no streaming service, or disc service, has the stuff retrieved from space. There are a couple episodes not released on anything since they only have one or two in the story arc of eight episodes. Heck The Crusade, the 14th story arc from the 1st Doctor, only has two episodes and it is not on Hulu or Netflix. First season alone, Hulu is missing two of the best story arcs that we have fully - Marco Polo and The Keys of Marinus (Keys was the first of the "Quest" storyarcs and second written by Terry Nation - aka creator of the Daleks).

That all said, regardless of the format, anyone willing to watch old Who should get it anyway you can. Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon all have similar backcatalogs, Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime obviously.

As for the current season. My wife and I rewatched the first few to see if our opinions on them have changed after getting use to him. Nope, the first two episodes are always soso. I really liked the Bank Heist though. Every part of that episode was right up my alley. They referenced so many awesome heist movies. That and the badguy was just awesome.

Is it common for minecraft to get paid skins?

Also if this doesn't come with a tardis mount that can teleport you anywhere in the game, it's useless to me :P

oh dear.....if Listen was the stand out best episode of the 8th series (so far) this week's episode was the worst.

How did they fuck this up? 2D monsters escaping to the 3D world and having dimention manipulating powers? AWESOME. The companion having to play the "part of the Doctor"? Cool idea :D (though it would have worked way better with Amy imo....and Rory playing the "companion" role  )

But the execution.....oh dear god....sooooo boring. And yeah, people have been complaining about Clara since she showed up on the show but I never minded her.....till the last 3 episodes. I get that they are preparing for her exit from the series, but do we really need this much teenage drama? Can't she just be "thank you for the adventure, but it's time for a normal life"?

We definitely could use an older or at least more mature companion. This doctor is quite serious and she doesn't really provide anything to that persona. It just seems off right now like they aren't quite a good match. I do get a chuckle out of the fast and flying underhanded insults they give each other though.

I much preferred the last episode to that nonsense on the space train. A nice shout out to Flatland and some nice visual effects.

That said, they've gone overboard on the "imperceptible monster" gimmick now.

Fair enough. I had already deleted that episode from my memory....well basically it's going very downhill this season. I don't know if it's the fault of the new doctor, the writers or both.
