I'm a huge ports junkie. Look at all the times I've played Ys I this year alone. And I'm not done yet...

Have you played the MSX or X68000 versions yet? Those versions at least have the coolest covers:BoneSnapDeez wrote:I'm a huge ports junkie. Look at all the times I've played Ys I this year alone. And I'm not done yet...
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

That first one would make an amazing poster.

I haven't unfortunately. I don't own either system so I'd have to emulate.
The oldest computer version I own is the Win 98 port. I'll get to that one eventually.

"But you're still just as hungry as before." I know, it's minor, but it still bothers meNyukki wrote:What did they change it to?SNESdrunk wrote:I'm happy to hear this. I hated (haaaaaaaaaaated) that they changed "But you're still hungry" in the Chrono Trigger DS re-release.

Don't play FF VI on the GBA. They changed too much :'(SNESdrunk wrote:"But you're still just as hungry as before." What's wrong with FF6 on GBA it seems fine to me.
Using this website I see no negatives of the GBA versus the SNES release -- http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Fina ... ifferences

The translation is different, so a lot of well known lines from the SNES port have been radically changed. FFVI on GBA feels a lot more serious as a result. It's still enjoyable and has some excellent additions, but it isn't quite the same game.Tanooki wrote:What's wrong with FF6 on GBA it seems fine to me.
