I'm a huge ports junkie. Look at all the times I've played Ys I this year alone. And I'm not done yet...

Have you played the MSX or X68000 versions yet? Those versions at least have the coolest covers:

I haven't unfortunately. I don't own either system so I'd have to emulate.

The oldest computer version I own is the Win 98 port. I'll get to that one eventually.

What's wrong with FF6 on GBA it seems fine to me.

The translation is different, so a lot of well known lines from the SNES port have been radically changed. FFVI on GBA feels a lot more serious as a result. It's still enjoyable and has some excellent additions, but it isn't quite the same game.
