It seems like you just really don't approve of anyone having a bit of an immature sense of humor. It's actually poking fun at how a lot of us freak out over stuff like video games, and we laugh at ourselves. If that was never your personality then maybe it's just not your thing, but I don't see what's so negative about it.

A friend of mine once said he hates "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" because he would never hang out with those kinds of people in real life. The following is probably a brash statement, but I think you're doing it wrong if that's how you view entertainment.

Numbers mean a lot.

And you obviously watched Jersey Shore, so...

Hell no, I never even watched part of an episode. But it was damn near impossible to avoid tv spots and other media ripping on their stupidity as it was everywhere, even southpark snarked on it a few times. Numbers in AVGN or the Jersey Shore's case goes to show you can put out complete trash but if you frame it well you can net millions of peons to lap it up each time a new episode shows up playing to the lowest common denominator. :)

Reviews from various sources on and offline, and just how bad various other outlets punned the crap out of it on top of just commercials on MTV. It's not hard to figure out something is terrible with a little effort. I take it you trying to trap me into admitting watching that crap somehow is softening the blow of me disliking something you're a fan of? Sorry he's just not funny or amusing. I mean he isn't the worst, you have Mike at cinemassacre doing far more damage with those awareness videos that helped drive up the cost on various 'rare' games.

You seem to dislike a lot of stuff that gives "awareness" to retro video games. I get not liking the prices on games going up but there is nothing wrong with informing people of stuff they might like. There are plenty of games I would have never played if not for someone providing me with "awareness".

I'm not a fan of some of the effects of the videos, not the videos themselves. When you get someone talking up a game that's nice. But when you have people doing rarity vidoes, or stuff talking how cheap you got something and how much it goes for, stuff that puts the money in the foreground directly or semi-directly I take issue with it. It has been a huge anchor on classic gaming that has dragged in a lot of complete assholes who just rolled on in to make a buck off it who didn't care at all before they knew they could make an income off it by praying on others. It's not just the more commercial website end stuff but even just the cool kids who think they're awesome jumping on youtube to brag how they got $500 in games with a $50 bill with it all spread out over the bed talking about values and quality. It just cheapens it all and makes it tough for those who had been around before that period who were in it for the hobby, the games, not the commodity trading of it. If I wanted to trade commodities I'd open an Ameritrade account, not an ebay one.

No, I'm not trapping you into anything. I simply would rather to people who form their own opinions as I absolutely despise an opinion not based on experience. In short, our discussions was:

You: Jersey Shore sucks.

Me: Have you watched it?

You: Hell no!

It's like saying "I fucking hate watermelon. I haven't tried it, but I know people who hate it".

For all you know you may love the Jersey Shore. Bluntly, you speak from a very narrow point of view.

But, I do not like the Jersey Shore (both the place and the show). I do admire Jame's success, but am not a fan his his recent work. And by recent I mean at least the last five or so years.

Isn't that what this website does with their rarest games articles?
