It's Autumn - Favorite time of year?

Northwestern summers are amazing, but fall is still nice.

There are a few programs and organizations that help out in certain situations around here, but not like is needed.jvalentine98 wrote:
I almost feel like the government should provide air to people in this part of the country. It's pretty much a necessity.
I remember listening to News Radio and they were talking about going to school year round and the woman's logic was to utilize the A/C's that were installed into schools that only get used for a couple weeks a year. I got a chuckle out of that because she obviously didn't go to a school in the southeast.

Whereas in the UK autumn means only one thing, it's the start of cold weather, wind, rain and more rain. Temp is 5-10 degrees c if you're lucky. Oh then theres the darkness, tonight it was dark by 18:30 and once we get to winter it can be dark by 16:00 on some days. And we have ice and frost and temps of -5 to maybe 5 deg c. Air con! No we have to have our radiators on and be held to ransom by the gas companies. All this shit goes on until the end of March.
That said it doesn't seem so bad where most of you are from!

You want to know how to make a date go bad really quickly? Pick her up in a car with no AC. She's not going to be happy when her clothes are soaked and her make up is running. I can tell you this from experience.
A couple years ago the AC went out in my truck, and I was generally not a happy person when I got to work. It can change your mood

I suspect if you guys got Great Lakes beer down there you'd become fast fans of Great Lakes Oktoberfest. 7% and smooth drinking, yet very flavorful. My favorite marzen/oktoberfest beer.

I saw Spaten in my grocery store. Is it a good Oktoberfest?marurun wrote:I suspect if you guys got Great Lakes beer down there you'd become fast fans of Great Lakes Oktoberfest. 7% and smooth drinking, yet very flavorful. My favorite marzen/oktoberfest beer.

I think it is. It's very crisp and clean, a very refreshing beer to me. I actually prefer it over Sam Adams Oktoberfest a bit, though I will still happily by the SA offering because it's also an enjoyable beer and I love the company.jvalentine98 wrote:I saw Spaten in my grocery store. 4 Bottles of Octoberfest
4 Bottles of Harvest Saison
2 Bottles of Harvest Pumpkin Ale
2 Bottles of Boston Lager
I know they have to push Boston Lager, I mean it's the flagship beer. But I prefer Boston Ale over Lager, just better to me. But either way I bought the variety pack and am enjoying the new Harvest Saison right now. Good beer.
I can't wait until the Winter pack is available, strictly for Old Fezziwig Ale. Love that beer. It's one of those that you can't buy in a six pack. They simply don't make it which is a shame.
