That's a bummer dude. My one complaint about 8 that was addressed in an update was I had no idea how to get out of app things without alt f4ing then they added an exit red X button to everything and now I'll actually use them.

The Metro interface is probably a better option. Especially because you can launch anything you might need.
I honestly thought it'd be easier to add things to WMC, it's very annoying that it isn't and no media center software seems to do everything that's required.
