I think I may have had this ONE time in my life. I remember once when I was a little kid, it was the middle of the night and I *thought* I saw my younger sister walk into my bedroom and stand next to my bed. I don't recall being paralyzed or anything like it, but I do remember I didn't move for whatever reason. Then I turned my head to look at her and say something and just as I did it, she disappeared.
I realized right away I was seeing things and wasn't too freaked because I saw my sister and not a creepy cloaked alien or anything but it was very weird. I only remember it because it was so vivid and nothing like that's ever happened to me since. Not that I want it to ....

I've never done drugs! And most of it happened while I was still developing! (I guess I still am a bit, tho). It's terrifying-like being conscious at your own embalming.
Re: sleep paralysis
Actually something very similar has happened to me regularly. I tend to have bad dreams now what happens in the dream isnt necessarily bad but i get this very uneasy feeling during the dream and it has happened to me so many times that i have got a knack for waking myself up when it happens. And in many cases i realize im looking around my room still sleeping and that at first threw me off but now it's just an inconvenience and i just jerk my head around again and wake up.
I used to be scared of this but now i just get annoyed especially if i have to wake up in the morning

Re: sleep paralysis
This is a little off-topic, but still sleep related.
I tend to like sleeping in a dark room with as little light as possible. Well, once I achieved a nearly lightless room. Within a few nights I had to add back some light. I would be in bed and as soon as I started drifting off to sleep I'd get vertigo and startle myself awake. My body didn't like not having any visual reference points when I was losing to sleep but not quite there.
This is a late response to this, but... I find girl socks more interesting in general. Wider variety of styles, colors, materials. Too bad my feet are too big for them. Guy socks are fine for work and for workouts, but not just for chilling. Not interesting enough for that.

Ack, you saying you were never tempted to wear toe socks? They're like gloves for your feet, or so I hear. I'm certain none would ever fit me, but the wife loves them.
