It's actually pretty good. Maybe I shouldn't have ignored the Pixeljunk series for all this time. Vaguely reminds me of this game:

On a less positive note, I also tried Velocity 2X and absolutely despise it

Revive (for lack of a better word) them, before the timer above their heads expires, using a Blessing Stone. (not sure if alt method is available later on, someone can fill that in)

End the battle before the timer expires.
If they completely disappear from battle, they lose a pink Heart. Heart = Life. Lose all 3, and they are dead forever.
Oh wait! Sorry it's been awhile. Assuming it's like the SNES/PSX version in this case, later on you do actually get a "revive" spell and that's when you can use it on characters. Now the tough part here is that I remember it takes quite awhile to get that spell, like 20 hours or it was chapter 3, something crazy like that. So until then... I think if you finish a battle while they're still "knocked out" they don't die so you won't lose them. But yeah.Violent By Design wrote:In the PSP remake they're knocked out for 3 turns before they die.Xeogred wrote:?

You have to bring them back to life with a blessing stone, hallowed stone (requires item level 2) or the revive spell (appears really late, costs stupid amounts of MP to cast) or finish the map before the counter hits 0 (they won't die if they're still incapacitated when you win).Violent By Design wrote:In the PSP remake they're knocked out for 3 turns before they die.Xeogred wrote:?

Man, you are just on an old-school From Software kick! Keep it up!Exhuminator wrote:Anyway, I've been meaning to try out an Armored Core game forever, so I finally have. Figured I'd just start at the very beginning of this immense series, and thus I'm playing the original Armored Core.
