I understand completely. Completing Luigi's Purple Coins in the first game is probably my greatest 3D platforming achievement. It took me hours, however, and I often felt like screaming at the end of some of my attempts.
I really need to go back to both games at some point and play through them again as Luigi. They are just so good.
Sounds good to me. I loved Super Mario 3D World, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with Jak & Daxter. Accordingly, Crash Bandicoot may be the next plaformer I play with my children (after DuckTales: Remastered, which shouldn't take too long).Xeogred wrote:Crash' design is definitely a bit different and because of it, I'd actually say it's helped it age well. I think a comparison to Super Mario 3D World wouldn't be too far off. There are a lot of stages with fixed camera angles, behind or in front of you, and it's still got a great deal of some side scrolling stages too. It's very simplistic if you're into that, so it's mostly just getting through the levels.
