I'm not presuming anything. I never said anything but the fact what I felt, that it was out of date poor control and camera issues and I was happy to see it gone. I never said that all game players enjoy this new style that the old sucks and good thing it's out of here.

It has nothing to do with tension in my distaste of how RE played, and if a game controlled and angled a camera so badly that I couldn't play it doesn't make it a success of tension, it's a failure in design for my usage. I didn't mind the tension at all of the game, I just wish the controls and camera weren't so rotten I could experience it. I know it's a split thing, a lot of people hated the old style, a lot of others loved it. RE due to that stuff was a take it or leave it franchise. I had Deadly Premonition, and it had as you noted the same style of feel as RE did pretty much, and again I ditched that one too for the same reason -- the controls. I thought the subject matter was awesome and hated I couldn't experience it.

Now they announce that the game will be episodic, interesting aproach i guess. I don't get why since the physical will come complete with extras... maybe to get fans to buy it twice?

Not to knock on that, but to me that kind of says... Revelations = Budget? lol.

Not bad or good though, really. But I did think it was weird they were making "Revelations 2" a thing, so I guess if they want to be experimental with it, that makes more sense.

I don't think it's budget. I think it's Capcom showing how much they're suffering if anything. They'll initially blow the game out for more cash than it would cost to buy the package digital deal, and yet then a third release with the most content on a disc even after that. They'll get the RE die hards and take them for a ride, once, twice, thrice if they can find some gullible enough throwing extras onto each successive release. Completely genius, completely slimy.

Looking promising to me. Even if I hated the first, I'm still interested.

The scariest thing however is Claire's walking, looks very similar to RE6's controls. I didn't really like the feel of the controls in that one. So I really hope it's not the same engine or anything. It's humorous to me that RE5 looks way better than RE6 I'd say.

I think it looks pretty good too, though Claire's face reminds me of the blade of an axe with how big her nose seems to be :|

I also have mixed feelings about "fast" zombies...

Since I'm replaying REmake at the moment...

You DO remember the red zombies, right?

This is one argument I can say about the old controls vs new, with the modern style plain old zombies would just be far too easy to handle. At the same time, I have been a little sick of them deviating from zombies so much for the longest time now. But I guess we have to remember it's "Biohazard" after all and has always been about mutations/viruses. Zombies are just kind of the goombas here. Even though it's gotten a little ridiculous, I still think the monster designs are usually pretty solid. That was another thing I thought RE6 did alright with, the Nemesis-like thing in that one chasing Wesker's son and Sherry was pretty cool. I hated the blob things in Revelations, but the final boss was a very cool design.

I agree with Claire's face. It's hard to not see Tobey Maguire after reading some jokes... lol.

Yeah yeah, the mutation thing. There's also nothing that says there aren't "traditional" zombies in the game either, it's just a personal preference of mine. I'm optimistic about what I see so far, and I think this one could easily surpass the first game, especially since Claire is finally back and she's one of the few RE characters I'm actually interested in learning more about. If we can get a cool CE, I'll be there for launch day.

Makes me want to ask... is Claire a cop? My roommate and I were joking about it the other day, aside from her always "looking for Chris", I completely forgot how she relates to the stories in the series at all. lol

But man her beatdown by Wesker in Code Veronica was... hilarious? It was so over the top how he just didn't give a shit and beat the crap out of her.

Dang I guess it's been ages since I played some of the others. I'm on a survival horror roll so I might go for RE2 and RE3 after I finish REmake again.

Good question, one I really don't have the answer to. I just looked through both the RE2 and CV manual and apparently she's just a college student, though we can assume that her experience surviving those two games has made her into a badass. This is actually a good opportunity for Capcom to expand on her background a little bit, even though it isn't exactly necessary.
