Am I the only person that actually liked all of the Resident Evil games? Well, except for the gameboy color?? Meaning all the major console release, never played the obscure releases. I think Gamecom got one didnt it?
I do not know, I just enjoy them all for what they are. Just wondering if anyone else thinks this way.

I'm with you dude. I like them all. Granted I haven't played Nemesis yet, but I can't see myself having a problem with it.
As I said, the fanbase is completely divided and the result is that almost everybody has their own rules about what it should be.
Me, I just want more RE.

Re: Resident Evil Revelations 2 Leaked
So if we're just talking about the series in general...
Thoughts on Zero?
I finally just finished the game with the Wii version, after all these years it was the only one of the classic formula that I had never fully finished and after diving in again... I think I realized why. Item management is 60% of the game. I clocked in 9 hours and seriously, the majority of that felt like backtracking and running around maneuvering the items.
I really enjoyed the two characters thing in this one and think it was great, but them dropping the item boxes in place of letting you drop items in any room... sure that sounds great on paper, until you suddenly remember you need the Grenade Launcher at point F when you're all the way back at point A, and there is an item limit per room.
The difficulty curve is insane too. I played on Normal and would say it's probably one of the hardest RE experiences I've ever had and I usually love a challenge in these games, but this was tedious. Although I like the two characters thing, you really do end up having to babysit them sometimes and just go solo. Run through hallways solo, or try going with both and risk them getting attacked. On Normal alone, a single attack is deadly, especially on Rebecca. There was almost no ammo whatsoever either. But on Easy, you are drowning in ammo. They kind of goofed here and needed a better in between.
The story was also awful and the music, just didn't seem to be on par with the rest of the series (outside of the awesome save room theme). I noticed something interesting, that this game came out mere months after REmake, so they both launched in 2002. It almost makes me wonder if Zero is just a product of left over assets from REmake (since it did have some new extra stuff) and they figured they'd cut out a chunk, throw together an awful last minute story and give us some new lame mechanics to change things up... then give us Zero. Eh, who knows.
Glad I finally polished it off for good this time, but it's one I probably don't see myself caring to revisit.
Visually, breathtaking though. Damn I miss pre rendered backdrops and I really wish Code Veronica had them.
6/10
Anyways, I probably sound like an RE hater at this point, but don't get the wrong idea haha. I just thought Revelations was terrible and get vocal since I just don't get it. RE6 was average and decent enough but also one I probably will never revisit.
But as for RE1, REmake, RE2, RE3, CV, RE4, and even RE5... hell yeah, classics I'll be replaying forever.

Re: Resident Evil Revelations 2 Leaked
Im kinda on the same boat, i enjoy every resident evil so far (the ones in the main series) but RE 6 was just awful in every aspect. Every time i get the "this is kinda good" they throw you a bunch of horrible gameplay desicions. I really tried to like it but even on co-op the game is bad. I can't see why someone will say "but it is good on his own right" when even at its own is average at best... there far better shooters to expend your time with.
Now with the rest, from zero to 5, i like them all. I still need to finish veronica and try the rest of the spin offs.

Re: Resident Evil Revelations 2 Leaked
I'd easily take it over Lost Planet 3, lol. I really tried to like that one, but yeah it was just so boring.
As for RE6, I felt that Leon's campaign was by far the most boring. Helena was a terrible addition and needed to shut up. It was really slow paced, tried to be atmospheric or throw some puzzles at you, and they were all just thoughtless monotone attempts at anything. Then you realize there's only two items you pickup in the entire game, A) ammo, or B) skill points. So that gets boring too, I enjoyed the collectibles in RE4/5 or picking up stuff to upgrade your weapons with, etc. RE6 was definitely a few steps backwards there.
Chris' campaign and the other guy were more to the point and solid action. Although I hated how Chris starts off story wise, after awhile he felt more back in character and was cool. I liked him a lot more than Leon in it. Leon seemed completely run down and just needs to retire. But I feel it was more the monotone surrounding him, so it was moreso the story and his part in it.
Ada's campaign wasn't that special, it was mostly just recycled levels and backtracking parts you had been to in the other campaigns. She was still in character too though and that was nice.
There was at least ~5 segments where you were being chased or had to run from something though, insane QTE's included. Those parts were definitely terrible haha.
But yeah, in the end I've played worse. Maybe a 5/10 or something for me, average but worth a run if you're really a fan.
The best part about RE6, is although the situation became a bit over the top and global (same in Revelations), I wouldn't say it really ruined anything plot or character wise. So they're still in the clear for future installments and can fix things for sure. I was very thankful for that.
But seriously, Capcom needs to drop the new characters. Barry Burton's daughter is like a joke gone wrong. Just give us combinations of Jill, Claire, Leon, Ada, and Chris, and that would be fantastic.

I'm sorry dude, but I really don't understand. How?
We don't know anything about her yet.
At the very minimum, I often see people complain about there no longer being any inexperienced rookie type characters in the series. Which really only refers to RE2, but nevertheless, Moira fills that role.

BARRY BURTON'S DAUGHTER. The guy is the charming laughing stock of the first game.
How is that not funny?

I bet Barry tough her the secrets to be a master of unlocking.

Wonder if she has a secret magnum hidden too.
