I's be name dropping. Not only do I know an NFL QB (well, retired/fired/who knows NFL QB) he's married to one of my best friend's Sister (who was also in athletics).

The wrench in your theory is that these guys have been tracked since high school. Many guys commit to the big schools in 9th and 10th grade now. You cant just magically create extra years in there.

That said, we need defensive upgrades, STAT. My vote is bolster the defensive line. It'd be good to have a safety, but hey, if the quarterback gets rushed, the secondary has to work way less hard.

As happy as I am to basically ignore the NFL between February and September, I am also very happy that the season is starting again this week!

NFL has gotten so pansy with all the penalties, I can't even watch it anymore. They care more about brand and image (I.E. $$$) than they do the game.

It's pretty clear the refs are instructed to protect QBs and WRs and the running game has been almost taken out of the game.

And that he was mostly going up against other guys who are backups or didnt make the roster. Rams are loaded on the dline and he wouldnt produce on special teams.

He was also going to do that Oprah documentary without consulting which rubbed them thr wrong way.

I'm not well informed enough to judge, as I even have yet to read the finger pointing article about ESPN, but Sam was a stand out performer.

Sure, the spotlight was on him, but the spotlight was on him.

Pure speculation right now, but it just seems fishy. I know that it's not always about talent, it's about getting ais. Lord knows Romo only has a job because of his fan base. So why not Sam, who is a character, and is actually good at what he does? Dude should be a shoe in for a multi million dollar contract.

I'm numbers oriented, so when see his stats all I can think is "How?". How is this beast not signed? He's like a fit and young Julius Peppers.
