Re: What's your NES library like?
My favorite baseball game on the NES. It's listed as rare all the time, and priced that way too unfortunately. It's that good. I'll hopefully get it for a good price one day.retrosportsgamer wrote:Yeah Dusty isn't rare in the sense you can find multiple copies on eBay at any time. I'm fortunate - my brother-in-law has a copy from his growing up that we've regularly played.
My favorite bit of trivia about Wayne Gretzky hockey is that it was developed by Bethesda Softworks, of fame much greater than a dinky little sports title many years later

Re: What's your NES library like?
Some highlights of my NES collection. That is, games I'm most proud of/play the most.
Tengen Tetris
Sword Master
Mega Man 1-6
Castlevania 1-3
Vice:Project Doom
Shatterhand
Batman Returns
River City Ransom
Monster in My Pocket
Rockin' Kats
Contra
Super C
Zen: Intergalactic Ninja
Frankenstein: The Monster Returns
TMNT 2 & 3
Journey to Silius
Totally Rad
Of course, I have a lot of standards like Metroid, Zelda 1 & 2, SMB 1-3, Kid Icarus, and more cheap common games than I can shake a stick at. I don't have it yet, but I just paid for a Metal Storm with manual from a seller on another forum, and I'm really excited to get it.

Well since I've not felt a reason other than to add 1 famicom game to the mix in like 3 months and nothing NES pretty much for the year (price games drove me off) here's what I'm static with as of this year NES and what in all I've grabbed for the Famicom. Re: What's your NES library like?
Super Mario Bros 3
Little Nemo: The Dream Master
Batman
Donkey Kong Classics
Super Mario Bros 2
Tetris
Ducktales
Kirby's Adventure
Donkey Kong 3 (Famicom)
It's pretty modest, mostly on the account of not owning a working NES for more than 20 years. I have a TriStar Super 8 adapter I recently acquired hence my re-aquisition of DK3 (although originally owned the NES version). I used to own Argus and Moai Kun for Famicom years back too but sold them with no way to use them. I don't see this expanding much beyond Dracula's Curse and maybe one or two others.

Re: What's your NES library like?
Managed to pick up a very nice copy of Snow Bros for an excellent price from a local craigslist ad- very happy to add this one to my collection. Definitely gonna have to pick up a case of beer and finish this baby in one shot very soon!

I bumped into TaleSpin today with a sleeve, so add that to my post a few above.
Re: What's your NES library like?
I had some $50 in credit, 10% off coupon, and tax picked up Adv Island 3 and Shatterhand for $7. Loving the first, still not sure on the second, seems picky hard but well made.
