Well, I was going off your initial comments, which slanted negatively in the technical sense.

Oh well, good. You haven't played it. I'm glad you're such an expert on the game.

Moz, when you're a jerk to people, it's usually fucking hilarious. Other times, it's completely unnecessary and unwarranted.

This time it's the latter.

I understand I have no place in this conversation, so feel free to shatter my little idealistic fantasy that people can communicate and share ideas on the internet and remain civil. Go ahead and hit me with your best shot. I can take it 'cause I'm like Pat Benatar.

I'd love for you to point out where I was being a jerk. This guy writes a thesis on why MS7 sucks, but he hasn't played it. I remember a thread a few months ago where I said I didn't care about MGS4 (or some other console exclusive) enough to actually play it, and people tore me a new asshole.

This comment sounded a little jerky to me. Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive, though. I just didn't detect anything like that from Mararun's posts, and it seemed unnecessary to reply with such sarcasm and negativity.

Now, if you will excuse me, I'm going to don my shining armor and ride my high-horse off into the sunset. :)

Mozgus,

I posted on why, technically, the DS is powerful enough to push around as much animation and as many sprites as the Neo Geo and speculated that, based on your complaints about the game, it was likely a botched port job. That's all. I never claimed to speak from personal experience with the game. My posts are not misleading within the context of this thread.

Hell, despite the problems it might be a great game. I've played botched ports before which still are lots of fun. Like Tales of Phantasia on the GBA. You (and many others) claim it's a really crappy port, but I'm still enjoying it so far.

You best be trollin'. Don't even compare this to Phantasia GBA. This is a solid Metal Slug. I'm going to play through it this weekend I think. I've beat all but 6 at least once over the years. Maybe I'll do both 6 and 7 back to back.

Anyway you know how I do things. I focus on the negative because it's more interesting. What I said earlier were such minor gripes, and really thats about all I have. Otherwise this is good Metal Slug. It's not a fucking botched job. The only other gripe I sense coming up is that the soundtrack isn't as good as 1, X, and 5's were.
