And for good measure, PS3s are melting already.

The only system I ever bought at launch was the Dreamcast, and that baby is still kickin' like the first day. And I bought the Cube about a month after launch, and never once saw the DRE screen. So I'm finding this difficult to swallow. This isn't like Nintendo.metaleggman wrote:Well, thats what you get for buying a console on launch. So I guess all the next gen consoles are having buggy launches :\
God I hate that phrase...Actually I wouldn't say that necesarrily. While maybe not as many PS3s are having this problem, many more PS3s are just flat out breaking. So, I'd rather have a firmware brokie wii than a total brokey PS3, considering how much better nintendo is about fixing their broken systems.Indy_aka_Rex wrote:Man, this is a first... more Nintendo systems bugging out at launch than Sony systems?
Color me surprised.

Yeah, would you rather your console give you an error message, or would you rather it just flash a red light on the console, indicating it is dangerously hot, or listen while it carves your disc to oblivion?metaleggman wrote:God I hate that phrase...Actually I wouldn't say that necesarrily. Really? Because in the last 2 days I've read a grand total of 3 people complaining about non-working PS3s (youtube video included). While I have however read about a dozen threads regarding Wii's giving people D.R.E.'s, 110213 error code's - and just flat out bricked units that never turned on to begin with.metaleggman wrote:God I hate that phrase...Actually I wouldn't say that necesarrily. Even though your 3:12 ratio is wrong, keep in mind that that ratio is very similar to the numbers of PS3s and Wiis sold as well.Indy_aka_Rex wrote:Really?
