After lengthy internal debate and consulting of my quasi-omnipotent magic 8 ball, I have ascertained the answer is Bikini Karate Babes (the platinum edition of course).

I did some googling and looked up the 57th best game from a variety of publications. All are multi-platform lists and are of "All time".

Gamesradar: Fire Emblem: Awakening
IGN: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out
Empire: Devil May Cry
G4TV: Pokemon Red
Edge Magazine: Soul Calibur
Popular Mechanics: Secret of Mana
Game Informer: Arkanoid
FHM: Team Fortress 2 (!)
Slant: Xenogears

I still don't know what mine would be. :?

Man what a question... I guess I'll go with Earthsiege 2 for PC. It's kind of generic, kind of repetitive and kind of ugly. It's the poor-man's Mechwarrior. But it's also really fun to just blow the crap out of robots.

I never beat it when I was a kid because you were supposed to capture an enemy base on the Moon to use as your staging area. I was always trigger happy and just flattened the place because there was a glitch that didn't make you fail the mission for doing it.

Unfortunately the base stays destroyed so when you reach a mission where the victory condition is to protect the base you get an automatic failure. I could never figure out what was going on and it took years before the Internet would finally get around to telling me.

So now I've beaten Earthsiege 2 and it's still a lot of fun.

Probably something like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, Doom, Super Mario World, or DoDonPachi

If this is your 57th best game  , I have to believe you only have ever played 56 games before it, and none after.

Shout outs to non-attacking standing/crouching transitional stance hitboxes that cause stun infinites in the corner (Kakia), though!

Honestly quantifying what my 57th best game is out the literal thousands of games I own is a bit much to fully contemplate.

Sitting securely in at #57 of my collection is Wave Race 64 for the Nintendo 64. At the time, the wave physics were incredible (and really, they still are). Slanting your Jet Ski up and down to hit the waves just right to gain maximum speed was immensely satisfying, plus it added a unique element to the typical turning-left-and-right gameplay of a racing game.

That announcer though, yeeesh, he drags the game down a substantial notch. "OOOOKAAAY!"

However, his oft hated over-the-top cheese was redeemed with the inclusion of an awesome easter egg in the GameCube's Wave Race: Blue Storm of a pissy sarcastic announcer that you can access via a button code in the audio options.

For anyone interested in that Wave Race: Blue Storm easter egg, here is what you do:
From NEOGAF:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=405993

OK, boot up Wave Race: Blue Storm.

Go to Options and Audio Settings.

There’s a waveform display at the bottom that changes if you press the Z Button—tap Z until the waveform looks like vertically rising fog.

On the D-Pad, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, X, Z. You’ll hear an audio cue if you did it right.

Back out to the front end.

Start a race. Pick the first guy.

The pit crew voice will now be some dude who basically insults you the entire time. Also, the turbo becomes a little girl’s voice saying “meow meow”
