Cant remember where I read this, but it's done wonders for me getting NES carts out easiily without messing up pins/connector.noneed4me2 wrote:Got my grey model from booksamillion and after a thorough checking and updating alls well. It does feel delicate when pouting the carts in and I am very gentle. Even with a little electric grease the nes and genesis slots are real tight scary so. Everytime I try and pull it out it feels like I'm going to rip the socket off the board. I don't see this thing standing up well to heavy usage. Thankfully I got my replacement snes and with adapters I will likely use this primarily and keep the retron on standby.
TO REMOVE NES GAME FROM RETRON PRIOR TO CONNECTORS BEING LOOSENED:
1. Firmly place hand horizontally over system to secure it in place
2. Use other hand and wrap it around the side of the cartridge closest to you.
3. Firmly pull cartridge both up and toward you simultaneously.
Might take a few tries to understand the best technique, but I no longer have any issues getting NES games out. Hope that helps!
