I love pecan pancakes!
Re: The Breakfast Thread
Bananas in chocolate chip cookies is a thing of beauty. You don't taste the banana, but it keeps the cookies moist like they were freshly baked.Ziggy587 wrote: I like bananas, but I can't stand them in stuff.

Or you could just, like, not overbake them. Soft cookies FTW.Luke wrote:Bananas in chocolate chip cookies is a thing of beauty. You don't taste the banana, but it keeps the cookies moist like they were freshly baked.Ziggy587 wrote: I like bananas, but I can't stand them in stuff.

bananas make a great egg substitute when baking. 1 banana = 1 egg.Luke wrote:Bananas in chocolate chip cookies is a thing of beauty. You don't taste the banana, but it keeps the cookies moist like they were freshly baked.Ziggy587 wrote: I like bananas, but I can't stand them in stuff.

Likewise, use applesauce instead of oil in muffins.aaron wrote:bananas make a great egg substitute when baking. 1 banana = 1 egg.

yep. you can also use applesauce as an egg substitute in certain recipes (1 cup = 1 egg) if you don't want the banana-sweet taste.Hobie-wan wrote:Likewise, use applesauce instead of oil in muffins.aaron wrote:bananas make a great egg substitute when baking. 1 banana = 1 egg.

I rarely have breakfast.
Re: The Breakfast Thread
I make great pancakes, omelets, potatoes, and sometimes crepes at home. I do this 2-3 times a week, otherwise I eat some cereal or skip it.
When I go out I almost always get sausage gravy on biscuits, because it is the best breakfast food ever invented. Otherwise, I get a bagel.

My breakfast of choice is porridge done over the hob, never the microwave, with either raisins or brown sugar and a cup of coffee.
