I found someone willing to order me the Animal Crossing poster set in exchange for my NES Remix code. That's a much better deal for me.

It's just disappointing that Nintendo is offering stuff anyone could buy at any moment. I would rather have a unique relatively useless physical object than any digital download code. I can literally buy any 3DS or Wii U game used for between $5-35. Give me something I can't buy.

I got the Remix. It's basically warioware but less whacky...

I, too, would have preferred exclusive physical swag.

See, NES Remix is only a $15 download. The VC games are under $10 each. If they were all full retail games, that would have at least been something.

I got Game & Wario. Tried it for a little bit, some of the games are fun but overall it's nothing to write home about. If they were going to give us a choice of digital games, they could have at least given us a bigger selection to work with.

I'm just glad that I didn't go out of my way to earn my platinum status.

Or how about if there were just two gifts. Gold members could get $X eShop credit, Platinum members could get $XX eShop credit. That way every one could get something they definitely want. If it was enough money you could get multiple cheap games. If it wasn't enough, you could use it to put toward a full priced $60 game.

Well maybe next year they'll have something decent since I'm apparently gold 2015  the games seem nice but usually those vc titles(3DS or wii/u) are pretty cheap anyways and the only ones i'd be anywhere near interested in are ones that are crazy expensive in physical form...

I would have been fine with the plat reward being a choice between $40 eshop credit or a download of a select first-party retail game (mario 3d world, mk8, windwaker, etc.)

If they want to make every reward digital: make them worthwhile.

If the rewards are going to suck this much I'll buy my Nintendo games used or wait for price drops (like every other game I buy).

Here's the thing. No platinum reward has ever been worth $40.

They kind of are, though. I mean, I know that a CD soundtrack would only retail for like $15. Or some stupid statue or figurine would only be like $10-20. But the fact that you CAN'T go out and buy them makes them worth more. Maybe what I mean by "worth" doesn't exactly mean money. But I feel like the physical rewards are "worth" more than some $8 game you could have bought on the eShop at any time, and still can.
