I was gonna say, last year was posters or a majora's mask soundtrack. A few years before that was a mario hat. Don't remember the rest.

A few years back the very best was a large yellow question mark block box and inside is a 4" tall trophy which has the main characters from Super Mario Bros over the years along with a pipe and a goomba popping out. Another equally as awesome if not more is a copycat recreation of their original Game & Watch Ball, built more or less to spec, has the club nintendo emblem/mario hat in the plastic on the back plate and came in a nice box too. Beyond that it's kind of downhill with a plush mario hat you can't wear as the dye will run if it gets wet(so soooo stupid), platinum playing cards with mario characters on them, and a box with 6 rows of Mario button pins. Last years was a lame majora mask cd or a set of posters along with digital download games. All years up until now as a gold level thing gave away a yearly mini calendar.

Looking at the rewards a bit closer I get the feeling that Nintendo is going to completely do away with physical rewards for future point redemption all together. They are down to just 6 items available for members.

They most likely had a mad rush on the items during June because folks were spending their points before they expire (I think they are good for 2 years?) Still...it would not surprise me if they don't restock.

I'm not surprised, yesterday was exceedingly disappointing.

I guess I'll get Earthbound? Who cares?

Yeah I am pretty sure that there was a HUGE surge of points from people buying a Wii U with Mario Kart and spending it on stuff. I am gonna definitely get Earthbound, since I haven't played it before.

That 'lame crap' you speak of would be a big improvement on what we get in the US store. The Game & Watch was here and gone, the soundtracks we don't get, and that sleep set with the pillow is pretty nice. Had those gift cards for points weren't for dead systems that would be cool too.

While I'm not really complaining, I am disappointed. This is the first year I've participated in Club Nintendo, and after reaching Platinum status I was very much looking forward to what the rewards would be this year. Especially after seeing what previous years were. The game selection, to any Gold or Platinum status Nintendo fan, is really "so what". If the game selection was better, then I suppose I'd be less disappointed (if disappointed at all).

I'd much rather have one of those soundtracks then any of the digital games offered!
