Re: So... what did YOU do when the server was down?
I checked every 15 minutes or so to see if it was back up!
Nah my 11 year old brother in law came over and was a complete butt-head, but it is what it is.
On the plus side, my wife asked if I could set up an incentive system for her to play and complete video games so I am making up poker chips in a jar with game art on them to symbolize the game. She can pick up to three poker chips at a time to play and when complete, gets to go on her, "Wall of Games!" to commemorate her accomplishments. So many poker chips means she gets a gift of some kind, up to and including games that she desperately wants to play on their original systems i.e. Super Ghouls and Ghosts (she is crazy good at that game, but never beat it). Which would also means having to get an SNES (I know, I know...shame on me).

I learned how to reset my DNS and what a Command prompt is.

Man, I had to actually PLAY videogames rather than just talk about them for a few days. It was awful. I refreshed so many times.

I hit refresh a ton of times. When that didn't work, I played a ton of Catherine (what a delightful game that is).
Older. Not wiser.

I did this AND commiserated over IM with other forum members that it still wasn't.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I checked every 15 minutes or so to see if it was back up

In the past the swap over has been communicated to us by the host a week in advance and they have communicated the entire time. This time they told us the day of, and did not talk to us atall. I did what I could, as fast as I could, to get us ready for the flip, but Racket was the one who did the bulk of it.

Well I no longer have an F5 key and a blister on my finger.
Also hoped that the downtime did not drive anyone away. Gonna hate the day when this forum fades away. Screw talking to real people, I would rather read you guys bitching about the WiiU LOL!!
