I lied. My in-laws ending up staying for the majority of the day. I might still jump back on later. The wife claimed the upstairs TV (where the Wii U is currently hooked up). I'm too lazy to relocate it to the basement.

Is there a way to permanently start with dpad controls? I always have to hit start and switch quick, kills teh first race.

I'm thinking about getting Mario Kart 8 but what do I do about a mic? The Wii U gamepad has a built in mic are you able to use that for online play? I've actually never been online with either the wii or the wii u
