I play guitar. Much better than probably anyone on this forum. I teach many students how to play guitar and have done for some time now.

Now, what I don't agree with is people playing on Easy mode and getting a buzz out of it. It's easy, there is no challenge, therefore no reward other than the false sense of achievement of pretending to be a rock star. If you aren't playing these games on at least Hard you are doing it wrong.

Then again, the other side of the coin is that these games provide an escape. They make you feel like you are doing something you wouldn't generally do. I.E. Being a rock star. For some people this is all they need to enjoy the game. To pretend. If you don't believe in that then I suggest you just stop playing games altogether because believe it or not that is what is happening when you play every single game you own. The suspension of disbelief and/or the immersion that every game lends itself to make you believe you are what you are not. A space marine, superhero, racing driver, car thief, murderer, alien, rock star, whatever you want to be.

right, but, see, the thing is, dude, is that, i just don't like them because i think the content is fucking irritating. it's just a personal thing. and the use of a gimmicky controller designed to be a caricature for a real life guitar puts them in a different class than a simple shmup or a retro arcade game.

I got in on that deal, raztat. They also had the Guitar Hero 3 Guitar for $20. The reason I didn't get the GH2 pack was because I already own GH2 and the Guitar.

I picked up the gh3 controller instead of gh2. Its so much better then the rb controller.
