Re: Summer Games Challenge 2014
Nothing personal, I just don't consider using warp zones really beating the game. Can't you technically beat the game in like five minutes or something? It's kinda the same thing as using a Game Genie and then saying you "beat" the game. Well no, you used a cheat, so it doesn't count, in my opinion. Just my two cents though, you're the one playing, after all.darsparx wrote:Couldn't find italienjesus wrote: Im curious why you warped to world 5 but didnt warp to world 8.

Well I always seem to have the same problem with this and every other platformer like it. I can beat the first few levels no sweat, but every level after that is a pain in the rump.....I would think I wouldn't have that much trouble since the goal is the same in every world. 1-3 get to the end and 4 beat bowser. But something about my timing is always off it seems.....

NES games are all about practice, practice, practice. If you find you're getting frustrated, take a break for an hour. I do think that's part of what makes the NES so great though, because it really is a system that doesn't fuck around. It will punish you if you're not learning.darsparx wrote:Well I always seem to have the same problem with this and every other platformer like it. Re: Summer Games Challenge 2014
Decided to start playing Simon's Quest today and I'm loving it so far. There's something about it that's just so NES. I've heard there was quite a bit of cryptic bs in this game, but I already know quite a bit of stuff just from word of mouth the last few years alone. Anyway, I think I'll really enjoy this one.
