Thanks for your honest review of Starfox Assault. I've not seen too much good about this, but I see that Namco had a hand in development, which is rather unusual. At least you do get to fly around and shoot stuff this time. Plus, I see that Xevious is an unlockable feature? I think that's enough for me. Might be worth a try.

1. Tearaway- PS Vita (Platinum Trophy)
2. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag- PS4 (Platinum Trophy)
3. Resogun- PS4 (Platinum Trophy)
4. Super Stardust Delta- PS Vita
5. Galaga Legions DX- PS3
6. Under Defeat HD- PS3 (Platinum Trophy)
7. Ketsui Extra- PS3
8. Tomb Raider: DE- PS4 (Platinum Trophy)
9. DoDonPachi- PS1 (Japanese PSN)
10. Strider- PS4 (Platinum Trophy)
11. Demon's Souls- PS3 (Platinum Trophy)
12. Shadow of the Colossus- PS2
13. Guacamelee!- PS Vita (Platinum Trophy)
14. God Hand- PS2

God Hand- Wow. Wowowowowowowow! This game. What a GREAT game. This was developed by Clover, who are now known as Platinum Games (made up of a lot of the same developers). I've only played 2 Platinum games (Bayonetta and Vanquish) and the gameplay in both those games was fantastic. So I kinda knew that the gameplay in God Hand was going to be spectacular. What I didn't expect was that it would be better than both Bayonetta and Vanquish (IMO, of course).

I finished the game on Normal difficulty with a time of a little over 18 hours and 154 continues. I had a little touble with some of the bosses, but nothing too impossible. I do admit to using some cheap tatics for the Great Sensei, but if you've played this game then you know that guy is pretty tough. The final boss gave me some fits too, but then I changed up my move set and I was able to beat him down (Dragon Kicked into the Milky Way!). And that's another reason why this game is so fucking great. You can change up your move set at any time and base it around the type of enemies you're fighting at the time.

Basically, this is the best Beat 'Em Up I've ever played and it's not even close. If you haven't played this game and you like Fighting/Beat 'Em Ups then do yourself a favor and play this.

Agreed, God Hand is also my favorite Beat Em Up, and favorite Clover/Platinum game. Like you said, its not even close.

Very glad you liked the game, man. Its very hit or miss. For my money, easily the best game on the ps2. Nothing even comes close. In fact, few games at all come close to touching God Hand's greatness.

I almost want to start a thread for it, just to give us a reason to keep playing.

1. Hotline Miami (PS3)
2. Boulder Dash XL 3D (3DS)
3. Mirror's Edge (PS3)
4. Orcs & Elves (DS)
5. 3D Dot Game Heroes (PS3)
6. Justice League Heroes: The Flash (GBA)
7. Metal Gear (MSX/PS2)
8. Wario Land: Shake It! (Wii)
9. LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year Edition (PS3)
10. Drill Dozer (GBA)
11. LittleBigPlanet 2: Special Edition (PS3)
12. South Park: The Stick of Truth (PS3)
13. Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing (PS3)
14: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
15. Angry Birds: Star Wars (3DS)

I <finally> finished this game...It is fun, but there is just too much of it. Moreover, the "Star Wars" abilities that each type of bird can use add depth, but they also complicate what should be a simple game. (The most fun levels are the ones where I simply hit things with the birds; the least fun levels are the ones where I have to deflect beams with my bird's lightsaber, push blocks with the force, etc. to get even one star.) I did enjoy it, however, and its addictiveness pushed me through to the end. (In the interest of full disclosure, I did not complete all of the unlockable bonus levels. I would need to acquire about 150 more stars to open up all of those levels, and I am not quite that devoted to the game regardless of its addictiveness.) In sum, Angry Birds Star Wars is a very good game, and playing it without advertisements allows you to appreciate its design. That said, I do prefer the original Angry Birds games, and I hope to play through Angry Birds Trilogy (3DS) later this year.

(Also, I prefer the 3DS version of these games to the Android and iOS versions. While the 3D effect adds nothing to the game, the ability to see the field in the top screen and aim the bird in the bottom screen improves the controls tremendously.)

Hmm I love it, but don't know if I can quite say it's my favorite ps2 game. Top 3 for sure though. For me, I'd go God of War 1, GTA III, and then God Hand.

And you should start a thread for it! I started my New Game+ yesterday and I was drooling over all the God _____ moves in the shop. I just bought Godly Haymaker, but some of those other God moves are going to take awhile to save up for. I FLEW through the first chapter and it's almost more fun the second time through. Hopefully someday I'll have the skill to try Hard/KMS playthrough.

Now I am wanting to try either another Clover game or another game by Shinji Mikami. RE4, Killer 7, Viewful Joe or Okami will probably be my next ps2 game.

This is my favorite PS2 game. If you play it, I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. (RE4 is also fantastic, but since I am incredibly hardcore, I played through it on the Gamecube.)

I've played three versions of RE4, GC, PS2, and the HD port. I'd like to get the Wii version someday too. Haha...

God Hand is definitely incredible, beat it last year myself. Very old school and satisfying to conquer.

Still gotta check out Killer 7 myself.

1. Pikmin 3 (WiiU)
2. Kirby's Adventure (WiiU VC)

Rayman Legends (WiiU)

Saw the credits (I actually was caught off guard when they started to roll). Still much more to play, but I suppose I've "beaten" it now. This is a truly enjoyable game.

I played a little bit of Origins when it came out to see what the hype was about. That was my first Rayman game and it did not grab my attention at all. This game was hyped even more, and I have a soft spot for the WiiU so when it was at WalMart for $20 I couldn't resist.

Rayman Legends is a prime example of a game designed meticulously to keep people playing. The levels are varied, the art style stands out as unique and the gameplay is easy to learn but throws all kinds of new challenges at you with each new level you try. And when the game is hard it still makes you come back for more as the checkpoints are so forgiving - if something is killing you repeatedly it only takes a few seconds to come back and try again.

The online daily and weekly challenges are a nice addition, and the amount of unlockable content serves the game well. I really enjoyed this game - and will continue to enjoy it as there is still plenty for me to do.
