This wouldn't really bother me if it weren't for the fact that on average every time I have a buyer having a problem with a disc not reading etc. I have them return it using the eBay returns system to cover both our butts. The most common reason they put for the return is "item not as described" since it isn't functioning properly by the time it gets to them. So far I haven't had any problems with returns and have only had 4 out of the last 165 or so transactions I have had and in all cases they were settled peacefully with full compensation to the buyer.
However this new system counts even resolved returns against you if they are listed as "item not as described". Thing that really sucks is its only allowing me to have 5 "defect" strikes before I loose a seller rating level
By the old standards I am well within the safety zone for meeting the requirements for being a Top Rated Seller but this will push me right to the edge of loosing it
I really hope they change their mind about this. They are setting the bar ridiculously high by basically merging Neutral and Negative feedback and putting returns on the same level as an unresolved Ebay Buyer Protection case
