I think everyone here understands supply and demand well enough. This thread was created mostly to complain about it.
...just feels better to vent sometimes.
Also, I agree that there are still a ton of cheap and worthwhile games for the system.
Disturbing prices on N64 games

Re: Disturbing prices on N64 games
You can find cheap games on any system just have to wait and find your price. Like I said on another thread I just got a snes and someone mentioned good luck with the prices. I replied saying I only spend 30.00 now on games and since the snes is all I'm going to buy now 30.00 can get me great games I just have to be patient in buying online.
I just think were all mad and we just have to accept that these prices are here for a while. It sucks because were all thinking back 5-10 years ago on how cheap games were and wish those days are back.

Finding cheap Nintendo 64 games, or even consoles, isn't that difficult if you're patient and know where to look.
A few days ago I bought Banjo Tooie for about $5, and a Japanese Pikachu and Gold N64 for about $70 each, shipment was included. Although I don't have a majority of Japanese games, it doesn't bother me what region the consoles are from, as I am collecting the colors.
But ebay tends to be the most expensive place to go. If you go to local retro websites or garage sales, or even buy from other people who sell their games on gaming forum, you could get it for 1/3 the price.

Yeah patience is key. Got lucky a few months back and got 15 games for $0.50 a piece at the pawns. Most of it was fighting games which I didn't really care for but I got Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Banjo-Kazooie, Pilot Wings, and a few other great games. Store has since started going by VGPC values though

Don't forget to also mention why it's the greatest most awesome concept in the world that is silly to ever complain about it.

This post reminded me of an idea I have for an essay I've been meaning to write about how games are software, just like Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Word. I think that's part of the reason why a lot of people tend to look at older video games as outdated instead of classic.jvalentine98 wrote:I'm saying older technology shouldn't be as much as newer technology. Period. Any SNES cart over the price of a 2014 game is stupid. It's old. It's out dated.

I think we need to turn it around and try to make it cool to collect old programs and OSes.GSZX1337 wrote:This post reminded me of an idea I have for an essay I've been meaning to write about how games are software, just like Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Word.
