i say screw the reviews and judge for your self! i mean its great to have a few different opinions but they shouldn't be taken seriously. first of all the profesional reviewers go more into technical terms not always focusing on if its truly unique or not. second of all its not always the same person reviewing a type of game maybe in a certain series. a good example of a review that i dont believe is right is on gamespot with their hate or dislike for the Monster Hunter series. i personaly love the series. its probally the most unique game i have seen in awile...lets face it you dont see many games like it these day. at a certain stand point i see what they are saying that its glitchy and the controls for the psp versions dont do well all the time. but i take it as a chalange more than anything. when it comes down to it for me i find monster hunter extremely additive and fun no mater how repetitive it can get. now if you dislike persona then it should be fine to say. its you opinion to say it and no one should hold anyone agianst it. but lets face it atlas is still alive because of not just the persona series but because of the shin megami tensei series as a whole.

I don't know what reviews you're reading, but I never see them go technical. It infuriates me how they never see or hear the differences that I do. I feel like the only person who wields a fully functional sensory system.

And yes, judge for yourself. That's what I did, and that's how I learned this game was bogus. I honestly think that if enough reviews praise a game, it can brainwash people into overlooking the flaws. There's no other explanation. There's a reason why no one can provide hard fucking reasoning as to why Persona 3 was supposedly so amazing, and unique.

Then again, anime fans are borderline psychotic, with no emotional connection to the living realm. They embrace ludicrous bullshit storylines like what this game offers. If you're a sane person who sees the story for the wasted effort that it is, you're left with some annoying pop music, lackluster graphics, and a battle system hinged entirely on the luck of the intelligence of you AI teammates.

The real enraging aspect about all this undeserved love for Persona 3 is that not just one generation prior, you have dozens of RPGs that are still relevant and amazing, and have yet to be outdone. And I can promise you that no matter how much you game, you'll still be able to find at least 5 RPGs you haven't played, but need to.

wow im surprised at this answer. first of all i dont know why you are attacking persona or the people that enjoy it. secondly i cant agree with you saying anime fans are borer line psychotic. i love anime but i will have to say that i do not believe in anything rpgs or anime or evn movies throw out at me! i dont even believe in god and in my opinion i dont know of a biger brain washer then the bible and many believe in that(i am not pushing my views on anyone and try not to take offense with anyone else i will not discuss or argue anyone's point of view on the matter and understand anyones right to believe in what he or she chooses)! i personally enjoyed the game but did not believe it to be the best. in fact i thought it lacked alot of elements that could of made it great. so the story was fucked up and had no scene of reality! but so are most games these days and even old days! lets face it one of the reasons video games were made were to get away from it all. im not saying that you should loose your sanity on the way cause you shouldn't. and you are right the game was blown out of proportion on how good it was! that's because of the fan girls and guys in America that only watch what is on cartoon network and loves crap like naruto and bleach and don't know a good plot line! and finally yes i admit it there are probably tons of games i need to play! and trust me i have been trying. at a kid my age i should be in the next gen shit! but do i stay with the popular majority?! NO! because i know there are tons of games i haven't played yet but need to! that's part of the reason i joined up this forum. i liked it cause i could finally relate to people about my love for the good old days even if i barley lived it! i mean most of my life i have lived with a fucking brother who thinks he knows every thing just because he has a 360 and played through metroid back in the day! i always tell him if he loved those games why doesn't he go back and play them again. can you guess what i get?! that's right a "oh it doesn't have good graphics anymore....." he calls all my games kiddy just because it looks like a kids game and trust me i have some nice games although not the best. a good example is jet grind radio! yes you herd it my brother called jet grind radio a kiddie game! thats just one of the many great games he doesnt think are good anymore. so when i found this site i was overly happy! its true im obviously pissed! but so are you for whatever reason and im sorry i got in a rampage mode but lets face it no one likes getting attacked just because one hates a game.....once again im sorry and and mean absolutely no harm. im not that kind of guy

You made me consider why I liked the game so much. Thank you, I wrote a review as a result.

It seems you rather loathe P3, which is why you probably pointed out how shallow most reviews are. Nothing new there, just skim through Metacritic and try to find out how many reviewers bothered to learn the scoring system in Ikaruga.

I have to agree with Mozgus. After 10 hours of playing P3 myself, it still feels pretty lackluster. I was pretty thrilled at the prospects of this game when reading about it, but found it to be severely over-hyped by it's rabid internet fans. It's the perfect example of a "snob RPG".

I'm considering trying to play The Answer portion of the game, but we'll see if that even sticks.

I would consider myself an anime fan of sorts and find this generalization quite offensive. I am not a standard anime fan in that I dislike far more than I like, but what I like I like a lot. I've never played this game and thus have no opinion of it, but going off half-cocked on an entire group of people based on a particular entertainment preference is ridiculous.

As for Persona 3, in case a few of you haven't noticed, games are all about opinions, and "best", "worst", all those superlatives are ultimately opinions. I believe all of you can, and will have to, respectfully disagree.
