I'm really glad I snagged a copy of the Legacy collection from Gamestop before it was too late. I wouldn't have noticed this one going out of print if it weren't for you guys.

Can't you get all metal gear solid games on the PS3 anyway besides the collection? I know they released the PSP games on a disc separatly. Also with 2 and 3.

Yes it came out a couple of years ago on the Xbox 360 and PS3 where it came with MGS 2, 3, and Peace Walker. I snagged the limited edition for the 360 which came with a quality art book. I also have the Vita copy which does not have Peace Walker nor a code for it. Have to buy it separately.

On a side note I picked up Dark Souls 2 Black (or dark) armor edition last night. Same price as the standard so why not. That will increase in price rapidly I feel because both variants are priced equally.

True, the MGS games are easily accessible elsewhere, but that doesn't make much difference as far as rarity/being a collector's item goes. Every hardcore MGS fan will want this in their collection simply because it exists, and the low print run of the release only adds to that demand. I highly doubt this will be turning up in many pawn shops because of the reasons I stated on the first page of this thread. I really doubt many copies of this game were even produced, let alone sold.
However, I was looking more at the fact that the collection is A) a late release in the PS3 lifespan, B) a console exclusive, C) not likely to sell well, and D) a large collection of a popular franchise. I think these elements alone make it possible that this will be collectible and sought after in a few years time.

Now that this threat mentions it... i think i saw a local store selling the collection for a very affordable price.. maybe it's time to try to MGS series

Honestly, I wouldn't wait to get it - it won't be around long enough for any kind of price drops, and has been already mentioned, prices are starting to get crazy on ebay. Even two months down the road this will likely be impossible to find in retail stores.

I was thinking about buying the Legacy Collection around the time it came out. I've never played any MGS titles before. I wouldn't have played it for years to come anyhow. So no biggie on my end. I'm sure I'll find a cheaper way if I ever have the desire one day.
