I'm honestly not sure I can. Instead of just rubber stamping out another Guild Wars, Anet changed things up to make Guild Wars 2 different. I think a lot people went into GW 2 expecting the same but bigger and that's not what they got. In a way GW 2 is like the Zelda 2 of it's franchise. Basically you have to treat it like a separate game. If you didn't like what was changed fundamentally, then I can't convince you to come back, because all of the main elements are the same since you quit, but more refined and slightly bigger. The only thing I can think of that might get your interest is the vague promise that 2014 will be a real big year for Guild Wars 2. Lots of huge changes are coming this year and it'll all be starting pretty soon. Major features only release in march or april, huge revamp to game's soundtrack, major balance pass for all classes among other things, new dragon and potentially more interesting story for Living World Season 2 not to mention new maps, "expansion level content" with no announcement on how that'll be delivered or when, and tons of QoL stuff. And who knows what else.cha cha wrote:I have, I am just struggling to care. The game got pretty boring in the past year, even with a semi-active guild. I think I have popped on to see what is up maybe 3 times since Summer of '13...
I'll give you a chance to revitalize my interest with your perspective![]()
I was a big time GW1 player, got jaded pretty quick over the changes in 2, the PvE did nothing for me, the WvW is still essentially boils down zerg vs zerg- with that great mind game of maybezergyourmapwhileyourserverissleeping. I found the dungeons fun for awhile, but it was hard finding competent parties for most of the high end ones.
What do you think is worth coming back to GW2 for?
If you don't like the second one, the original is still there. Though, no longer getting new content through expansions or updates anymore. Still has a population too.
