blitzball can suck it. i love FFX, but i cannot stand blitzball. i made a concerted effort to try and really learn to play it, master it, and just enjoy it; but i hate football manager sims, and i hate the pseudo-ATB-ness of it all, and i just hate it. fuck blitzball.

while i'm at it, fuck FFX-2.

Oh dear! Man, I love just absolutely rolling everyone in blitzball. It's my go-to "I'm pissed off at [game], I'm going to go beat the tar out of someone" game.

And I... Well, I've only played through X-2 once, and I don't really remember it, but I definitely liked the dress spheres! :D what's your beef with that game?

How about a game of Lucky Hit? Would you like to try a game of Lucky Hit?

EDIT: I wasn't disillusioned enough to think I was the first to mention it in 5 pages, but the constant sound bytes from that segment are nightmare-inducing.

Can i consider the ship section of kingdom hearts a mini game? Hate those damn parts.
They really short but they are so constant they become old very quickly.

The bazaar segments of Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar... UGGH The bazaars in this game are so annoying, and if you couldn't guess from the title, they are definitely mandatory (well I guess you could skip them, but you wouldn't make any money or get anywhere in the game).

Basically, once a week, you take your goods to sell and just stand there, waving your bell around, hoping someone will buy something. Sometimes someone will ask something and you'll need to pick the right answer to get a better reputation or something, but that doesn't make it any less boring. Plus the bell noise is irritating as hell >:l

Pokemon X:
The special training mini games. It's not mandatory for the single player, but it sure helps. I would actually find it kind of fun and not bad if it was actually designed so left handers COULD PLAY IT TOO. You use the touch screen to aim and shoot and the circle pad to move, and the face buttons don't work as a replacement like they did in DS games. So I'm stuck holding the pen veeeeeeery awkwardly (for me), and some times failing because it's hard for me to aim.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars:
Seriously, mini game to steal a parked car? Do those people have ANY idea how common it is to steal a freaking car in a GTA game? And for some reason I remember using my right hand for these too, so you probably had to do something with the D-pad while doing some of them....or I was too lazy to get it out with the correct (not going to use the word right here :P) hand

Banjo Kazzooie:
The freaking board game

I assumed that all gamers have just adapted to the right-handed style of play for gaming, since we have all been using the same right-handed controllers since 1986.

One thing I found interesting with young children first playing video games, is that they could use either hand for the control stick. Watching my daughter's friends play, sometimes they have analog stick in left hand, sometimes in right. My daughter strictly uses her left hand for the stick, but that is likely due to me "correcting" her when we played previously.
