How hard is Ironsword? I'm still stuck on the first W&W on the bat bosses....it's fun i'll admit that, but it is hard. Definitely doesn't hold your hand at first like most modern games(or even give tutorials like most modern games even if it would be just short ones). But some games don't need it because you figure it out.

You should definitely get Crystalis though...that is a amazing game. A little hard to earn enough cash for anything without grinding but it's fun and worth a buy. I can't say much for the others though never heard of them besides a random mentioning of Manic mansion before...

Maniac Mansion NES has some of the best music ever. Dave's Theme, Michael's Theme, good googly! That's one of my all time favorite NES games. I even have the official Jaleco hint book for it too. Although, the little red plastic strip used to decode the covered hints in the book is LONG gone.

My collection is around 160 games and I keep thinking about culling out titles I wouldn't ever play (and then use these funds to shore up some of the gaps in my physical collection) since I have a NES Everdrive on the way.

Couple games I've acquired in the last month or so:

RBI Baseball 2
Arkanoid
Legendary Wings
Little League Baseball
Mario Bros.
Popeye

I'm a bit of a mark for those old Arcade classic series games - loved Popeye on the Commodore growing up. Played a lot of the original arcade Mario Brothers on our Apple II GS as well.

I'll post a full collection list (w/ pics) later.

I have an NES Everdrive on the way as well. Along with a regular NES model I traded for recently I also added a few games to my collection.
Super Mario Bros 2
Super Mario Bros 3
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
400-in-1 pirate cart with a Famicom to NES adapter in a NES shell.

I really need to start up an RF Generation list just to help me keep track of things.

I've got a little over a hundred on the NES and there really aren't many games left for it I'd still pick up if I came across them. There definitely aren't any left I'd go out of my way for.

A lot of games are really pushing it for me as far as quality goes after 100+.

My NES collection is sitting at 49 games right now. I could probably tell you how I acquired every one of them. There's a few I'm actively seeking:

Solar Jetman - I know this game is difficult but there's just so much to do and I'd love to get further than the 2nd level.

Super Spy Hunter - Being a 1992 release, the price is moderate, but it was really a great time.

Anyone ever order NES (or any games) direct from the publisher? I read about doing that in a magazine back in the day, and I ended up doing that with a couple of games. The prices were at about MSRP for them too. Data East's game (Side Pocket) took a little time to get here, but Tengen's (Toobin) was sent UPS 2 day air.
