I don't get it either. I've played Persona 3 and 4 and have no desire to touch them ever again. So much plodding and padding and boredom.Gamerforlife wrote:Reached day 5/22 of Persona 4, and the game continues to bore me. Why is this so highly rated again?
I almost always had Zaalbar dual-wielding like you in my party as a melee murder machine. I never had much use for Juhani cause I usually played as a Guardian, but for you, being a Consular, she may be a good addition to your party later. Bastila's not bad in combat either. Bastila's my type of gal so I always had her in my team. Mission annoyed me to no end, so I only used her when I had to. SheMrNash wrote:Just finished up Dantooine and managed to avoid using Bastila outside of that mandatory bit where the game forces her into the party. Otherwise I'm still going with Zaalbar and Mission. Zaalbar has been doing great with melee, especially now that he has a big two-handed blade thingie. My character went the Jedi Consular route, and has healing and stasis abilities right now.
Since my character and Mission are both scoundrels, I've been opening battles with stasis whenever possible, which makes it open season for Sneak Attack. Enemies just melt as a result. We've just been mowing stuff down with this strategy so far. I'll try and ride this out as long as I can, and if I really need a Jedi, I may go with Juhani or something instead.
I don't think a single (sane) person on the planet loves the game for it's dungeons. Persona is loved because of it's characters, story, and the way the game integrates everyday life into it's RPG mechanics.Gamerforlife wrote:Reached day 5/22 of Persona 4, and the game continues to bore me. And the combat never gets old IMO. Loved the way it works. I would just stop GFL, why torture yourself if you don't like it?CavZee wrote:I don't think a single (sane) person on the planet loves the game for it's dungeons. It's one of many different flavors of SMT.
Yeah I agree. SMT games all seem to have great battle systems that always keep you on your toes.Stark wrote:And the combat never gets old IMO. Loved the way it works. I'm actually doing that right now to fill in the time between being done with Dark Souls and D3 expansion launching. I'd played Sith Lords back in the day when it first came out, then I heard about the restored content mods years later and never got around to playing them. Then on the GOG boards someone posted that the major content restore/bug fix mod just released a new version which reminded me to install it (as well as M4-78 and Handmaiden for female Exile). So far I've finished Taris and am just starting Nar Shaddaa.Melek-Ric wrote:You must play the sequel with the restored content on PC.
I played with one of the early content restoration mod versions (it's been almost 4 years), so I can't remember if it had the droid plane. I do remember lots of battles with the HK-50's. I do know that the mod didn't let Handmaiden join female Exile's party. I remember because I had to put up with the disciple guy.MrPopo wrote:I'm actually doing that right now to fill in the time between being done with Dark Souls and D3 expansion launching.
