God, the dungeons in this game are AWFUL.

Don't know never played it :P I'm still trying to make it through the first one where I have to keep turning the volume up and down so the song doesn't get super annoying since it's the same one over and over and over......

I don't get it either. I've played Persona 3 and 4 and have no desire to touch them ever again. So much plodding and padding and boredom.

I do like some Megami Tensei stuff - Devil Summoner, Devil Survivor, Strange Journey, Revelations: The Demon Slayer, and the DemiKids games are pretty decent. Haven't tried much else.

Zaalbar has been doing great with melee, especially now that he has a big two-handed blade thingie. My character went the Jedi Consular route, and has healing and stasis abilities right now.

Since my character and Mission are both scoundrels, I've been opening battles with stasis whenever possible, which makes it open season for Sneak Attack. Enemies just melt as a result. We've just been mowing stuff down with this strategy so far. I'll try and ride this out as long as I can, and if I really need a Jedi, I may go with Juhani or something instead.
I almost always had Zaalbar dual-wielding like you in my party as a melee murder machine. I never had much use for Juhani cause I usually played as a Guardian, but for you, being a Consular, she may be a good addition to your party later. Bastila's not bad in combat either. Bastila's my type of gal so I always had her in my team. Mission annoyed me to no end, so I only used her when I had to. She
got strangled by Zaalbar in the end after I convinced him to do it. Mwahaha.
You must play the sequel with the restored content on PC. I played the first game on Xbox so it took me a little while to get adjusted to the controls. I like KotOR II more than the first. Both are great.

I don't think a single (sane) person on the planet loves the game for it's dungeons. Persona is loved because of it's characters, story, and the way the game integrates everyday life into it's RPG mechanics.

It's one of many different flavors of SMT.

And the combat never gets old IMO. Loved the way it works. I would just stop GFL, why torture yourself if you don't like it?

Finished up Kashyyyk and Tatooine. Both those places were fun, especially Kashyyyk. Wound up having to change my party make up because of some of the stuff on the Wookie planet, so now I have Juhani and Jolee in the group. Juhani tanks while Jolee is set to support, mostly casting crowd control spells, which play well off of my character's Sneak Attack ability. I actually find this group a bit overpowered compared to Zaalbar / Mission since we're stomping things so hard now. About the only difficulty I had was against a group of fairly force resistant Mandalorians on Kashyyyk.

Really enjoying the game so far. I'll probably grab the sequel next time it gets a Steam sale. =)

Yeah I agree. SMT games all seem to have great battle systems that always keep you on your toes.

I'm actually doing that right now to fill in the time between being done with Dark Souls and D3 expansion launching. I'd played Sith Lords back in the day when it first came out, then I heard about the restored content mods years later and never got around to playing them. Then on the GOG boards someone posted that the major content restore/bug fix mod just released a new version which reminded me to install it (as well as M4-78 and Handmaiden for female Exile). So far I've finished Taris and am just starting Nar Shaddaa.

I tried playing KoTOR II a long time ago, and got stuck due to bugs (it was giving me debug codes in conversations instead of moving the story along). Haven't gone back to try and play it with fan patches.

I played with one of the early content restoration mod versions (it's been almost 4 years), so I can't remember if it had the droid plane. I do remember lots of battles with the HK-50's. I do know that the mod didn't let Handmaiden join female Exile's party. I remember because I had to put up with the disciple guy.
