What is your recipe for dough, I have never found one I like that is worth making. And that is my big hurdle with homemade. Well that and the Little Ceaser on the way home...

I have a few, but my go to recipe and procedure is:fastbilly1 wrote:What is your recipe for dough, I have never found one I like that is worth making.
In a bowl for a standing mixer (kitchen-aid with dough hook attached) combine 1.5 cups bread flour, one packet rapid rise yeast (check the expiration date) and a pinch of salt.
If you want to add herbs to the dough, now would be the time.
Stir to combine, using a flat spatula to keep things in the center of the bowl. With the hook stirring on low, add one cup of warm water and three tablespoons of olive oil. Again, press sides of bowl down with spatula (with hook stirring). Add in an additional cup of bread flour, continuing to press down the sides.
When dough forms a ball and clumps to hook, transfer dough to a lightly oiled bowl, and cover. Wait for around half an hour until dough has risen.
This makes for one large pie, or two mediums. I cook it at 425 for twenty minutes, oven light on to keep tabs on it so it doesn't burn.
^That's a basic recipe that works for me every time. I already made my wife a pizza this week, but I'd be happy to record myself making it if you'd like.
I usually throw in a tsp. of corn syrup to make the dough taste "less bready".

No need to record, I can follow a simple recipe. We are anticipating a large tomato crop this year so I am trying to get my ducks in a row for my recipes for later this year. Next year we may actually have ducks...

It is very solid. Also, be sure to get a pizza stone. They are not erribly expensive, and they improve the result tremendously.
