If your console is modded it is fairly easy to get hold of DLC, still nice to have physical copies though.
I bought a chipped modded console on here and it is on the way. I like the idea of the chip for running pressed imports, easier installation of a much bigger hard drive and plan on packing it up with emulators and some games I have bought.

How would one find DLC to install and since Xbox Live is gone for the original Xbox? Besides the demo discs, is there a site supporting the older DLCs?

Why would you think that?

Plenty of decent games on the system are going for next to nothing.
I'm a late arriver to the Xbox, even missed out when all the games were cheap used at Gamestop and now catching up. I actually got an Xbox brand new as a Christmas present when it just came out. Gift refunded since at the time I did not want another game machine, especially one as almost a big footprint as my beloved 5200. If only I had started earlier, would maybe even have gotten that Steel Batalion Controller when they clearanced out at certain stores.

As in any console, there are great exclusives on the Xbox. Even some games of the day that only were on the PC got an old Xbox exclusive release. Not only Microsoft games, but 3rd party as well.

[quote="CRTGAMER]Speaking of which I picked up a few more Xbox demo discs just for the bonus content. I am green with Xbox goodies.

Xbox Fan Book $0.01 Frys
Xbox Blow Lid Off $0.99 Frys

Only a buck for both books from the Frys book clearance rack, there were about five copies of each. Good read on early games, various controllers and inside tricks that can be done to the box.

Man, you gotta get me a copy of those books, those look sweet! I am a big fan of the oXbox myself.

I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

I technically paid $30 shipped for Darkwing Duck on the NES but I used my dirty reseller money from a copy of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, which I had picked up a few weeks back at a thrift store, to pay for it so it was basically $4. I've been selling off a lot of unwanted stuff lately to ramp up my NES collection.
I hope you are happy with yourself. Don't you know we are supposed to hoard everything for forever. You are killing the hobby.

Picked up some goodies today:

Wii U: The Wonderful 101 ... on clearance for $4.97. Score!
3DS: Cooking Mama 4 ... shut up, it's fun! for $2.97.
3DS: Nikoli's Pencil Puzzle ... for $2.97
3DS: Shinobi ... for $2.97
3DS: Dual Pen Sports ... for $2.97
3DS: Shifting Worlds ... for $2.97

I don't usually bother rooting through the bargain bin these days, but when games by Nintendo, Sega, Aksys, Bandai and Hudson are in there, they deserve to go to a good home. :)

Canada.
Not sure of the how's and why's, but multiple CAN stores have been selling Wii / Wii U / DS / 3DS stuff for like 50-90% off - off and on for months now, including places like Target. Lots of guys on NA buy them up and then sell them at cost to guys in the states.

Future Shop. Probably not chain-wide. My location has been going nutso with the 4.97 games lately. I'm really happy with this one. :)

Metal Slug 7 - $10 from Flea Market, complete with slip, poster, etc. The foil slip has a few nicks.

Game & Watch Collection 2 - Free from Club Nintendo AU. Only actual game on Club Nintendo as we don't get digital titles. My points were going to expire so I bought this with them.

These discounts, do retailers sell them low, or does Nintendo to sell them at 50%-90% off?

I know I am impressed by the oXbox library, but I have not seen many people boasting about their oXbox collection or seeing oXbox fans/community. Compare it to the Dreamcast, SNES, and Neo-Geo and you will understand what I mean.

When I bought my 360 I ordered a batch of oXbox games that I played for a year or more.

Jealous of this. Always wanted it, but it's not on the European Club Nintendo for whatever reason, and never has been. I picked up the Game & Watch Collection 1 and the replica Game & Watch game, but I kinda want 2 because it has a unique (sorta) Game & Watch game to play.
