Currently playing Tje Red Star but I dont know if it belongs to a shooter game or a beatemup.

The Red Star is a hybrid game that isn't a proper 2D SHMUP. I don't think we're that picky here, though. Half of what you're playing counts for a shoot 'em up, which works for me.

Playing a bit more of Ikaruga again. Some cat posted a ridiculously high Stage 1 run that I am really envious of. He must have spent at least thirty hours perfecting it....

I'm on to Soldner-X on psn and raiden project (1&2) on PSX/PSP, and MARS MATRIX

Right now, I'm playing the Sega Saturn Salamander port. Damn, that game kicks ass. It's like Gradius done right. You respawn when you die (as opposed to having to start from a checkpoint), you can reclaim your options (sometimes easier said than done, though), and it's just more creative and exciting. I'm flying through collapsing ceilings and rising floors, blasting away at veins, dodging giant teeth, digging away at regenerative terrain, and fighting against a giant brain with tentacles and an eye. That's all in the first stage.

-more of Soldier Blade. I absolutely love this game. I can 1cc normal difficulty with a little practice, the 6th level boss is pain to finish off quickly. Hard mode is just daunting, tons of bullets and everything moves much faster.

Ketsui Death Label on NDS, only because (a) I don't have time for consoles at home at the moment (if I did, I'd be playing Thunderforce 6 still) and (b) my Pandora *still* hasn't arrived yet.

'Pandora' - do u mean the battery for PSP? if so it's not really necessary - there are other hacks (check the hacks and guides section ) if not - is this some shooter that I'm not aware of?
