Hazerd wrote:$1000 doesnt go very far in gaming these days, but id probably buy a PS4 $400, and Xbox One $500, as to not miss any exclusives this gen like i did with the 360.
That would leave me with $100 for a game or 2.
On the other hand, id like to buy some retro games and round out my SNES collection, with $1000 id probably get:
Earthbound - $150 Harvest Moon - $130 Castlevania Dracula X - $130 Mega Man X2 - $80 Mega Man X3 - $150 Chrono Trigger - $90
With $270 left id like to get a Turbo Duo/PC Engine possibly.
This is all assuming the $1000 can ONLY be spent on Gaming items.
X3 and Harvest Moon have hit those prices?? Might be time to sell LOL
With $1000 I would pre order everything I want coming out this year and hopefully get a few in CE editions!

I won't buy one used. So, unless I could get a new one on sale, then that's what the going rate is.
It's not tho. You can get a new one for as low as $180!
I just looked on Amazon and you're correct, sir. They have both the Spring Bundle with Dark Siders II and Arkham City and the Holiday Bundle with Halo 4 and Tomb Raider, both for $250.
So....
Titan Fall Xbox One Bundle - $500 Dead Rising 3 - $60
Xbox 360 Holiday Value Bundle - $250 Lost Odyssey - $20 Dead Rising - $10 Blue Dragon - $10
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - $50 (Amazon seems to sell it for $10 less than other stores)

I'm still not convinced you game. As far as I can determine you watch hockey and screen movies. I still haven't figured out how you ended up on this site.

I'd take half of it and splurge on used game shops up-through Oregon and Washington. It'd actually go pretty far with my spending habits.
One thing I'd probably overspend on is a 3DO. I really want one, lots of local shops have them boxed for $100. I'd probably buy one.
The rest of the money, I'd finish buying the game protection junk I want to get, as well as some odds and ends materials. I'm tired of stuff getting damaged, just because its sitting on a shelf :\
Man this was harder than I thought it would be o-o
For sure I would get: Metal Slader Glory (Famicom) $170 Metal Slader Glory (SuFami) $230 Persona (PSP) $30 Raw Danger! (PS2) $20
But with the rest (~$550)... Not sure whether I would get a Saturn + bunch of import games, PS3 + games, bunch of PS1 games, or a mixture... Either way, thinking about this really makes me wish I had this sort of money to spend ;^;
