No, that's not odd at all. You're crazy, sir.

Don't question them, lest you want the broad side of a blunt instrument put to you.

If I become a mod someday, this will be your first warning:

Well if you really want a warning, I'm sure it can be arranged if it will make you feel better. :P
It just wouldn't feel the same if I wasn't making an ass out of myself... :( :(

Incidentally, how many years must I be retired before I can be granted "Moderator Emeritus" status?

Well that's up to you then. I mean if you want to give warning when the mood strikes, then authorities can be alerted and prepared.

I'm kidding of course. I can't remember you doing anything more than a little steam blow off once or twice. Happens to everyone. It's when the train just keeps barging down the track and doesn't take a breather or whatnot that it's a problem.

I never really liked mods on forums, but I do have to take my hat off to our group of moderators on here. You guys are pretty cool and nice.

On other forums I use, mods either don't post at all. They are there for w/e reasons. And/or they like to showoff their moderator powers. I have not witnessed that here.

Also, I have not actually seen a moderator have to moderate during my time here, so they must have down an awesome job in the past to get posters to follow the rules and show a little respect.

Well done.

We've also had a moderator sort-of banned.

Who was it? And it makes sense for that to happen from time to time. Some people really do take the internet very seriously and become power hungry.

I was an admin in a small forum 8 years ago, and one of the other 2 admins was a huge asshole. He'd get in heated fights, I would lock the thread cause things got out of hand and he'd reopen them telling me to stay out of it cause I'm not as active as he is (I mostly read what others were discussing rather than chat). In the end I ended up quiting the forum by deleting my own account cause the stupidity hurt too much.
