What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Just pulled some of my pottery from the kiln - this one is inspired by an African Horn Drum; serving dual purpose as a percussion instrument as well as horn. The horn part still needs a reed of sorts, so is pretty quiet now. I like sound of the drum thus far. I still need to glaze:

Well, it's nicely seasoned with flu now.

Yay home made instruments.

The design issues I have are with skills, weapons, armor etc. There isn't really a guide as to what should benefit your character. Yeah, my nightblade can wield a warhammer, but is that worth it? My nightblade uses magic? cool I can cast spells? Oh those spells require me to have a certain type of weapon.

It is hard to differentiate a player from an npc from an enemy. Looking at the map flips your character around so you have no idea what direction they are actually facing. not able to go through doors because it doesn't fit the quest.

The combat though...not a big problem. I see what they are trying to do and that is cool. Huge balancing issues, but that can be tweaked. My only real problem with it so far is that special abilities seem to not have any cool down and archery is useless solo.

I find locked chests pop up randomly in the environment, which is odd, the crafting system is not explained at all and there are so many items that are used in crafting, but you have little understanding as to how they apply and to what craft.

Quest design issues are even more so an issue, but that is more of the fault of the genre than the game itself. I see what it is trying to do and maybe it will improve.

I tried it some time ago, in November I believe. Have they fixedc any of the selection issues yet? There were problems I would occasionally encounter with coprses being next to something I needed to click, and I would only be able to select the corpse. Is this still a problem?

Also, I agree about the lack of direction. I had no idea what would work with what or what benefited me to try.

I haven't come across the problem, so I think that has been fixed...since there are floods of people and floods of bodies everywhere. This has also helped me understand the real issue with MMOs that I have faced all my life and that really is the people. You feel rushed to go as fast as you can, to move through the dungeons at mach speed and take advantage of the throngs to your advantage. Story? Not important. Quest rewards? Cool! I needed that staff for my nightblade, because it doesn't do anything for me!

Frown: Been up since 5am as my dog wanted to start her weekend early.

Smile: At least she ate all of her breakfast and did her business promptly.

Frown: I've been watching videos on VH1 basically all morning, and haven't heard a single song I enjoy. In fact, I've had to change the channel multiple times as the songs really, really stink. Worst so far includes Pompeii, and Timber.

I absolutely hate Timber. A putrid combination of country, rap, and party music.

It's horrid isn't it? I mean, good on pitbull for having a huge fan base and being so radio friendly, but I can't stand his music. Never quite saw the appeal of kesha either, but she's also quite a success.

Not sure to smile or frown: My Grandmother, who is in her 90's might be going to an assisted living home. For those not in the know, although not practicing, I am a certified assisted living home administrator, so I'm a bit critical when it comes to picking a facility.

It's fairly simple, my Grandmother is lonely. Her tenant passed away during my last visit, and when the dog didn't work out (don't get me started) my Uncle put this option on the table.

The home operates like most assisted living homes but unfortunately I'm not going to be able to visit the place before she moves in. I do however have a laundry list of questions for my Uncle about the joint as I consider myself part of the decision making group when it comes to my Grandmother.

And then there is her house. Straight off of Milwaukee drive in Chicago. A walk from the Blue line, a stroll away from Superdawg, and minutes away from the heart of downtown Chicago. Fenced yard, garage, gorgeous basement, and an upstairs made to rent. Easily worth a million. I need to have a say in the sale of the house, if it goes up for sale.

It's always something.

I think this is your excuse to move back into Chicago.
