Luke, you have redefined bureaucracy.

I may be the one oddball who likes going to meetings. It lets me flex my interpersonal muscles in an age of computer screens and smartphones.

I like to schedule my meetings around different times depending on what I want to accomplish. Early morning meetings are nice to get me out of bed, dressed, and showered (carpe diem mode) so I can tackle my day head on. Ten o'clock meetings seem to be the best/most productive because everyone is wide awake, but no one is hungry just yet. If I want to keep a meeting brief, I will schedule is to begin right before lunch. Afternoons are a poor time for meetings for a number of reasons.

Plus meetings are a good chance to network with people in other departments.

I'm sure you already have this covered, but don't forget your power adapters and ketchup (if you plan on putting ketchup on anything). If you'd like general tips on traveling across the pond, I can help, but as far as Paris I'm of little help.

Oh the days before GPS and mobile phones when people had to actually think. Reminds me of a funny story.

After high school graduation, we threw a huge party at my friend's "Pilk"'s parent's lake house. Thanks to a few fake id's (not all of them worked) and trial and error, we procured two kegs of beer (barely drained the first one) and a few cases of those St. Ides fruity malt beverages. The entire school was buzzing about the party.

I printed off a flyer for the party which circulated the school halls. On the flyer I gave two sets of directions:

1) "The easiest way possible to find Pilk's house is to drive West on 321 towards Hickory, and take the second left after you pass BFE. You can't miss it".

2) Actual directions to the house.

Apparently not all of my high school colleagues were aware that BFE was short for Bum Fuck Egypt, and took the directions literally. Not kidding, people were looking for a store/restaurant/road/location called The BFE.

So a lot of people got lost and eventually didn't show, even though I provided the non-silly directions.

GPS is correct, nav/map systems may not. GPS is a satelite coordinate system.

Definitely.

It's out of my control due to scheduling issues, but unfortunately I have meetings booked for Thursday's at 4pm for the next few months.

At least it's not Friday at 4pm, where everyone just wants to leave, but it's difficult to accomplish a lot when ten people are involved and you only have one hour to discuss current issues.

Luckily I'm the chairman of those meetings so I make sure to make every second count.

But keeping people on track is a job in itself.

With the giving away of the Four swords on the E-shop I thought it was one per 3DS(XL). well its one per account so i had to make a new one for my (recently acquired)LOZ 3DS XL, which completely threw off my downloading of LOZ four swords, long story short I was only able to get one DL copy. Oh well one copy is enough.

I'm going to blame that on you and the guy for living in the middle of bum fuck nowhere (aka, Maine).

It's true, GPS isn't 100%. My GPS wanted me to drive off the side of a cliff and into the ocean when we were trying to find Patrick's Point on the coast. And on the same trip, it was telling us to drive up the side of a mountain, where no road actually existed, but we knew we were supposed to stay on the highway regardless if there was a road or not.

The only 2 times something like that has happened with my GPS, but they were both during the same trip ironically enough.

No: the GPS map software/hardware might be buggy, but GPS technology itself isn't really prone to mistakes

Or rather, maps are incomplete, the physical landscape often changes, and the software sometimes has trouble differentiating between roads.
