Yeah, the shooting needs work. It's a shooting game. Wasn't Sonic that great platformer that needed work on the platforming?
Making the player stronger wouldn't improve the game; Drake's already pretty much invincible. All my deaths came from rockets fired by enemies who spawned offscreen, and Drake trying to climb a wall when I just wanted to run past it
Puzzles are fifth grade level. For the climbing segments, simply point the analog stick in the general direction of your target and press X. Insulting. I played Uncharted 2 and felt insulted.
Uncharted is my Spec Ops. It's pretty obvious Drake has already reached the pit of hell. It's a weird feeling murdering dozens of people while my makes avatar makes wisecracks and tries to decide which girl he likes more. Not one moment of regret. It was a game about the atrocities brought about by greed and hubris but the protagonist was having too much fun to notice. That's not a criticism; it's my favorite part.
Last year a friend and I rented Uncharted 3 and beat it in one sitting, on the hardest difficulty available to us. In its defense, this series never pads itself out by concealing important information.
