What is your favorite memories on the sega dreamcast

Playing Crazy Taxi in EB games for the first time and deciding that I had to own a Dreamcast no matter what.

My decisive moment, it was playing CT2 in a Toys R Us before I picked up Pokemon Yellow. $59.99 was the price. The date? September 10, 2001.

MOTW is one of my favorite fighting games of all time. I love it. But I only had it on XBLA, so glad to finally have it on DC. It's one of the few SNK games to feature Hotaru. She's awesome. Bonne is cool too.

As far as story - I'm never able to keep track of the FF/KOF stories, but HG101 says:

Garou: Mark of the Wolves takes place in the then near future of 2008. The intro recounts how Geese denied Terry's aid and fell to his death from the top of his tower. Overwhelmed with guilt, Terry raises Geese's son Rock, hoping to prevent him from following in his father's footsteps. The plot begins when a man named Kain R. Heinlein, who has risen to power as crime boss of post-Geese Howard Southtown. Several years earlier, Geese had been romantically involved with Kain's sister, Marie. Kain resented Geese and forced Marie out of his estate. He later found out that Marie and Geese had a child together, Rock Howard, and he organized the King of Fighters Maximum Mayhem tournament to draw both Rock and Terry to himself.

It's chronologically the last game in the series. They've never made a sequel that takes place after it to this day even though apparently there were plans to before SNK went bankrupt. They really should revisit it but King of Fighters kind of took over.

MOW is def one of the highlights of the series and easily one of the best fighters to come from SNK.

Yeah, the Dreamcast release is perhaps the most budget friendly version to experience the game on a console.

For me, playing and owning it on Dreamcast was my first true experience with the game to which I am greatful. Though this release of the game will always be the most baffling and most akward in my eyes.

- The US Dreamcast release is the ONLY version of Garou to ever have the "Fatal Fury" name. US MVS and AES releases of the game don't.
- US Dreamcast release does a drastic change in Terry's dub for his special moves. His Power Wave is now "POWER WAVE!" instead of "ROCK YOU!" and his Crack Shot is now "CRACK SHO(O)T!" instead of "KICK BACK!" and so on...
-Some slowdown in B Jenet stage and one particular segment of Terry's Stage. I'm not even sure if this is how the MVS version behaves in terms of stage specific slowdown. Nonetheless it shouldn't have happend on the console port (it doesn't on any other console port).
-Any DC version of Garou puts the drive through alot of work. DC drive gets rather noisy when running a match (Yes! Noisier than usual especially for a fighter running on a Dreamcast).
-Playing the game on particular DC consoles under certain conditions enabled causes some major audio sync issues with games sound effects.

I haven't played enough RB2 to see if it's just as good, but isn't MOTW like RB3 anyway, really?
