1. Play through the rest of the Wario Land series (I only need to beat Wario Land (VB) and Wario Land: Shake It! (Wii).)
2. Start a series, and play though all of the games in it (There are some recent series - such as Devil May Cry, Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, Uncharted, etc. - that I have never touched. I would like to pick one and play through all of the games in one of those series in chronological order.)
3. Finally push through both Nectaris: Military Madness (PS1) and Return Fire (PS1) ( I respect both game immensely - and I have sunk hours into each one - I just do not have the will power to finish them, however.)
4. Finish collecting at least one sub-set of 2600 games (I suspect I will acquire the rest of the Activision "standard label" games at some point this year.)
5. Acquire a PSP and mod it
6. Acquire an Atari 7800
7. Finish off one of my collection (I only need to 21 games to complete my N64 collection and 41 games to finish off my Xbox collection. None of the games I require are particularly expensive; so, I suspect that - with a few internet purchaes - I can finish off one or the other before the end of the year.)
8. Continue to amass PS3 and Wii games (It is currently a great time to be buying used games for those systems.)
9. "Complete" all of the games in my collection that missing their manuals (15 games in my collection are missing their manuals, and it is driving me CRAZY!)
10. Photograph my collection and post the pictures to the forums (For most of my collection, this will not be that hard. I just need to do it.)
11. Grab all of the game I want from PSN and WiiWare store while they are still available
12. Play through all of the non-RPG games in one or more of my collections (This is a long-shot, but I do not think it would be that difficult for me to play through all of the non-RPG games in my 3DS, Gameboy, or Wii collections.)
One down!
Among other things, I picked copies of Fire Fly (2600) and Tomcat: The F-14 Fighter Simulator (2600) from a pawn shop this morning, rounding out my Absolute Entertainment and Mythicon subsets in one fell swoop. (The Absolute Entertainment subset includes Pete Rose Baseball, Skate Boardin', Title Match Pro Wrestling, and Tomcat: The F-14 Fighter SImulator. The Mythicon subset includes Fire Fly, Sorcerer, and Star Fox.)
I also realized that I already had all of the games published by American Videogames (i.e., Tax Avoiders), and I also have all of the EPYX games (i.e., California Games, Summer Games, and Winter Games). Accordingly, this morning's acquisitions bring my number of completed 2600 sub-sets to four. Moreover, since I need only one Activision "standard label" game (Crackpots) and one CBS game (Tunnel Runner), I suspect that I will be able to bring the number of completed sub-sets to six by the end of the year.
On a somewhat related note, I continue to get good prices on used PS3 and Wii games. (I grabbed MvC3 (PS3) and Sakura Wars (Wii) this weekend); so, I am confident that I will accomplish my eighth goal. I added a lot of games to my N64 and Xbox want lists; however, so I am now slightly further away from accomplishing my seventh goal than I was a few months ago...
