I just started, only finished the first dungeon.

One thing I wanted to say is: Am I the only one that thinks it's a little too easy to get all your items at once from that Rabbit guy at your house? In the other Zelda's you had to earn each item one at a time.

yes and no. If you die, you lose the items you've rented. So it can be a lot smarter to buy them. Of course, that costs more and makes you decide what you really need. Even if you rent them all, that's going to add up and you don't know what you need for each dungeon. And if you die... they're gone. So it's different yeah, but I don't know if it really makes anything easier or not.

It's weird having all weapons available like that, and I've not been struggling for money since I explore a lot, so when they first became available I was able to rent them all and I've since bought three of them

I don't know if this is a good change or not. I mean, it's cool to have a bit more freedom getting all that stuff early, but I also feel like finding and acquiring new weapons was one of the rewarding aspects of a Zelda game. In this game, I just threw some money at someone and got them all. I feel like I didn't really earn them.

at least stuff like the "Power Glove" were still found. Personally, I think I preferred it the old way. But I don't find this game-breaking either.

I see good and bad in it really. I like the freedom personally. At the same time I get what you're saying about the satisfaction of discovering a new item and feeling like you've earned it.

Zelda is similar to Metroid where you slowly grow you character by earning new items to open up more of the world to you. Though being able to open up whichever part of the world you want at any time and choose the sequence which you want to go through the game (without needing to be a sequence-breaker pro taking advantage of game glitches and other unintended things) is a nice departure from the normal flow of things.

It's different, not necessarily bad different or great different, just different.

My favorite kind of game design. I can't help but compare the Souls games to these series.

Looks good but I didn't like that art style newest handheld game that I enjoyed of Zelda was minish cap.

Though link to the past is my favorite Zelda game.

this seems to be everyone's thought until they actually play the game. Screenshots just don't do it justice.

Yeah I heard that on several podcasts I listen to as well. I liked it from the get go.
