I stand by my words. The whole "shooting at the camera" is weaker than clock radio speakers and the lyrics are butt. It takes them about a minute to even start a beat or to start rapping. Trash I say.

And this isn't a diss, just a comparison: Look at Bubba Gump and then look at Kanye West. Those dudes look exactly alike. I'm sure part of the resemblance is due to Kanye's broken jaw, but holy hell do they look alike.

Soulful and adventurous hip hop here. This is way better than what you would expect from a free download. Definitely worth your time.

this has been one of my most-listened mixtapes this year.

Check out this track that Chance did with Lil Wayne, JT. The beat is amazing.

This is different:

It's like London's version of Flo-Rida, but with better lyrical talent. I've got a friend in West Ham who dj's for vinyl justice, and she said this the current club banger in the "slums of London". I'm not really into house-rap, but this is definitely the closest I have come to liking it.

well turns out the mixtape is mostly old material. :\

I mean it's still all good stuff, but most of it I'm very familiar with already. "God Lives Through" is a favorite. But why they didn't include "Oh My God"? Why not make it a full on mix of all Busta/Q-Tip/Tribe tracks? Why not give us some new remixes like the ATCQ mix that came out to promote the documentary that Michael Rappaport did? Anyway, cool that a free mix has "Thank You" on it anyway. That alone is worth the download.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis just ended their world tour back here in their home of Seattle where they sold out the Key Arena for THREE nights in a row! I was there every night up in front! It was an incredible set of shows.

Over the course of three days, the shows also included local legends like XPerience, JFK, and CandidT (aka TH3RDZ), DV1 (DJ of the Seattle Seahawks), and the one and only, big booty lovin' Sir Mix-A-Lot. I wish I had more pics of our local boys because they are really talented, but the lighting wasn't as good for them and my pictures are all a blurry mess.

There were also other major independent recording artists Big Krit, Res, and the phenomenal Talib Kweli.

Each show was a little different, but they were all HUGE. The energy of a crowd that big all cheering on their hometown hero and him just soaking it all in for the homecoming of his tour was magic.

I managed to capture a bunch of good pics from the front row to share with you all:

Now those are 4 completely different artists there. Never was a busta fan. Hated him solo and in his LOTNS group. Case of the p.t.a was cool but t.i.m.e was the suck.
