you said the sms port was ahead of its time because

a) atmosphere
b) you would buy it today

B makes no sense as a definition of "ahead of its time" and A wasn't really explained as doing something that would be done more frequently later (nor, specifically, why the SMS port is specifically able to do this in some novel way).

I'm not picking nits. You've still not explained what was forward looking about the SMS port.

if anything, the SMS is able to be "creepy" and "atmospheric" because of the limitations of the hardware, which doesn't really constitute "ahead of its time" either.
